Namesake
"Riku!" Sora bounded down the stairs, grinning excitedly. He rounded into the living room. "You aren't gonna believe this! It's so cool!"
Riku did not bother to remove himself from atop Cloud and Cloud did not stop sliding his hand along Riku's back. It was not as if Sora had never walked in on them doing worse things on the sofa. "What?"
"I got a letter from Mushu and he said that one of Shang's horses had a baby!"
"Okay," Riku spoke slowly, the end coming out with a bit of a sigh as Cloud brushed a sensitive spot near his spine just above the waist of his jeans.
"Yeah, so he gave the baby to Mulan and guess what she named it?" Sora waited a whole second before exclaiming, "Sora. Isn't that awesome?"
Both Riku and Cloud shrugged.
"He sent a picture, too! Look." Sora stepped closer and held out a photograph. "Isn't he cute?"
Riku glanced at it and actually shifted around so he sat up more. "I don't remember seeing that kind of horse."
"Nope, she's not one of the army horses." The younger teen let Riku take the picture from him. "Mushu said he was a… what was it….? Oh, yeah! A Bay filly."
Cloud lifted a blond eyebrow. "Bay filly?"
"Yep."
The couple glanced at each other, clearly amused by something.
Sora saw this and frowned. "What?"
"Nothing," Cloud replied before Riku could say anything. He ignored the quizzical look Riku gave him. "Weren't you going to that meeting at Zell's?"
"Uh, yeah, why?"
"It's two-oh-nine."
"Crap!" Sora snatched the photo back from his best friend and turned for the door in a hurry. "I'm totally gonna tell everyone I have a horse named after me!"
The door slammed behind him and Riku gave Cloud an amused look. "Why didn't you let me tell him that a filly was a female horse? That would have been-"
Cloud cut him off by pulling him down and into an intense kiss. When he broke it off, he smirked. "Let the others tell him. Leon's been looking for some payback."
Riku chuckled and moved around so he was fully lying atop of Cloud. "You're evil."
"I learned from the best."
