A/N: Sorry if this isn't very good, it's arount three in the morning right now and this was stuck in my mind so I thought I might as well make it into a fanfic...

I'm Broken without you

My body shook slightly as a tear rolled down my face. All I could do was stare at what was happening before me. Crammed into Aubrey's little temporary car, we sped down the motorway on the way to the nearest hospital. She must have been shaking as much as me but she kept the rest of her composure well, though I could see the fear in her eyes as she glanced down at Chloe in the passenger seat. She was practically unconscious now. Her head was lolled to the side and her eyes were half open but unfocused. Small groans escaped her mouth from time to time but at least she wasn't thrashing around anymore. We needed to get there as soon as possible, maybe we should have called an ambulance, too late now.

Finally, the car pulled into the emergency area of the hospital and I rushed out of the car to Chloe's side and picked her up. I ran with Aubrey at my side, Chloe in my arms through the doors of the emergency room, calling for someone, anyone to help her. A nurse came over with a wheelchair and she was rushed off to see a doctor whilst Aubrey explained what happened. Without warning, Chloe was going again. Her whole body was shaking violently as tears slipped down her face and groans fell from her mouth. That's when I broke. I collapsed to the floor, sobbing. I couldn't take it anymore. Chloe was wheeled into another room that I had been shut out of whilst doctors took care of her. Aubrey pulled me up from my curled form on the floor and hugged me. As unnatural as it felt to have her pulling me close in an embrace, I needed it. I hugged her tighter and we watched our favourite red-head through the small windows in the door.

She had never had a seizure like this before. Chloe had epilepsy. She had been getting better with her new meds, less fits and feeling ill. I don't know what went wrong. One minute she was fine and the next she was on the floor, thrashing around and crying out. When she finally stopped fitting, I held her tighter and she started throwing up. She couldn't keep her meds down and then she was going again. I was crying and all of the sudden she was silent, unmoving. She wasn't answering me and I could see her eyes losing focus. Aubrey walked through the door and was immediately at my side grabbing her keys to the car.

When we were finally allowed to see Chloe after hours of waiting and worrying, she had been moved into her own private room, the perks of being friends with Aubrey and her rich family. A drip was attached to her wrist to keep fluids inside her body and her eyes were lightly shut, beautiful red hair splayed across the pillows. I put my hand to her pale face and gently stroked her colourless cheek with my thumb. I could faintly hear one of the doctors telling Aubrey everything that was going on but all I could concentrate on was my love, my beautiful Chloe.

I kissed her forehead and all I could manage to say came out in a whisper. I didn't know what I'd do without her.

"I love you Chloe," was all that I could get out. Her eyes fluttered open and a small smile appeared on her face before she fell back into a deep sleep.
