The capacity of his databank was supposed to be almost infinite. Not nearly as wide as Her's, but wide none the less. Rarely did he need to delete any piece of knowledge he'd stored in his memory. At any rate, the only times he had done so were when certain bits of information had proved useless. Despite how positively worthless this knowledge may have seemed, at the moment he would do just about anything to get it. His curiosity was truly peaked.
Focusing his optic on her had no effect on him. Neither her short, blonde hair nor her sea green eyes brought on any sort of shift. However, the sound of her voice triggered something within him. A feeling of familiarity.
This nagging itch was completely new to him. He swore to God he'd heard this little girl's voice somewhere before. He recalled a time when this sweet and soothing voice was a constant variable in his life. But when? He had no answer for that question and apparently she didn't either. Strange, considering she was supposedly a memory storing AI. Despite this, she swore to him she knew his voice as well.
He took a bit of comfort in this even if he still realized this question may go unanswered forever. Though the itch did not subside for long. It wouldn't matter to him if she wound up being a little girl from Bring Your Daughter to Work Day he'd happened to come across. He just wished that one day the memory would dawn upon them both. That one day they'd look each other square in the eye and say
"I remember you."
