DARKER, DARKER YET DARKER

I FIND NO SOLACE

USELESSNESS IS MY DESIGN

FORSAKEN FOREVERMORE

...

I stand by their side.

Well, I actually have always been by their side, perhaps.

Or maybe I never was.

I don't really know anymore.

...

The sunlight that dawned from the sunrise mocks me, refusing to let me bathe in the sunlight of another's success. The mountain that my kin and friends were trapped under seemed to be an adequate height to see such a beautiful scene. This is the perfect moment of absolute tranquillity, peace and victory.

...

All of this was accomplished...

...

Everything I ever aimed for...

...

...

...

They still stand here, entranced by the view of the sun. Bathing in it, with the happiest of looks that they could muster. It was as if they are actively mocking me for my mistake. Oh, well. I can't blame them. It was my fault for falling into that blasted machine. I couldn't blame anyone else. Even if I could, say, blame my younger brothers for not remembering me, or blame my apprentice for making an even worse mistake than I did, or blame the King and Queen for not remembering me despite everything I did for their kingdom, what good would that do? Blaming won't bring me back.

But even if I yelled, screamed, cried at the top of my voice, who would hear me?

...

Nobody would have came.

...

...

I am eternally grateful to you for this, human.

...

Frisk, was it?

...

Oh, right. You can't see me.

...

Anyway, if anyone in this blasted place can hear me I can at least thank you all.

...

Thank you all for showing me that I was never needed in the first place.
