Run
It was fun. Carter never found any harm in it. She didn't mean anything to any of them. She was just the girl who stared out the window, listening to her Ipod and not saying anything to anyone. She never seemed like she had any feelings. How he was wrong.
"Come on! You know you wanna go out with me!" He said, being backed up by cat-calls from his friends. She only sanked lower in her seat. She wasn't good looking, but she wasn't that unfortunate. Her hair was an unbeliveable shade of blonde and her eyes were a really deep blue, unfortunatly for her, so were her braces. She wasn't thin, but she wasn't fat. Suddenly, though she became darker.
Carter glanced out the window. The sky had a sudden change and was darker and the air was even more humid than before. It smelled like a storm. Devi, the girl, looked up at the sky and for a spilt second, then she smirked and looked Carter right in the eye.
"Whoa! Is she checking Carter out or what!?" Said one of his friends. He laughed with them, but was slighlty unsettled by her glance. Only a while till I get out of here. He thought, waiting for the bus to get to his stop.
Devi's smile was in the back of his mind at all times. They had left her alone already and were making perverted jokes about the emo kid on the bus very loudly so everyone could hear. Even the bus driver smiled at this. All the while, Carter had shivers up his spine, all the way up to his scalp. Finnaly the bus slowed down at his stop. He and his friends jumped, ran and got pushed out of the bus. They were already planning to make suggestive looks at Devi while the bus stood still. Carter's heart beat faster, terrified without reason. He turned to look at Devi, smiling, disgusing his fear and paused.
She was looking up at the sky smiling with her fingers spread out. Each one of her fingers went down as if she was summoning the sky. She looked at him and smirked once again, and rain started to poar. Freakish coincedence, he told himself. Her smirk grew larger and her eyes looked wild, but yet in control. She layed her hand flat all of a sudden, and a bright flash startled Carter for a second. He looked up and screamed. There right next him was lightning. It shot though the ground and created a horrible burning smell. He looked around as most of his friend had eather, curled themselves into a ball, or run away not bothering to help antbody else. And then he saw it.
The lighting had formed into tight ball and right behind it, in a bus window was Devi curling her hands as if forming a snowball. Her smirk still apparant. He looked at her in fear, his eyes pleading for mercy as the ball of lightning grew. Her eyes were a electric blue and her hair shone. her braces had dissapeared and her teeth straight. She had a slim body and looked taller, more menecing. She looked straight at him, like a cat playing with a mouse, torturing it, until it gives up hope, and mouthed out one word.
Run.
