Shadows darted across the floor to be lost in the deep darkness. Reflections danced from mirror to mirror, glancing off each other. Through the single window a full moon shone in a clear sky. And in the center of the room, two figures danced.
We are the lucky ones
We shine like a thousand suns
When all of the color runs together
The moonlight flickered across their faces, giving glimpses of beauty and danger. A shimmer of silver hair, a pair of soft lips, clawed fingers, and brilliant blue eyes wove in and out of the light. Their faces, half hidden in shadow, were pictures of complete focus. Their gazes never wavered from each other. Gold trapped in a blue storm, and blue held in the brilliance of a golden sun.

In one glorious harmony
Waltzing with destiny forever
His clawed hand held hers gently, presenting a perfect image of her power over his danger. As they moved, silk whispered in the night. Her hand at his shoulder, his at her waist, connected. They moved as one, knowing where the other was at all times, and still their eyes remained locked, as if nothing else existed.
She was his everything, the light to his darkness.
Dance me into the night
Underneath the moon shining so bright
Turning me into the light
She made everything insignificant, and he knew he did not deserve her. Sometimes he feared that he would destroy her, she seemed so fragile. But he was content.
Time dances whirling past
I gaze through the looking glass
And feel just beyond my grasp is heaven
The years they had been together seemed like forever and a day. They had been together, and would be together for eternity.

He pulled her closer as they spun together slowly, reveling in her trust in him. The way she moved at his signal, light in his arms. The way the moonlight sparkled in her eyes, and the way the shadows played across her face as they moved in and out of the light.
