When Russell met Minka
The pet shop was just opening, and Russell was all alone, at the other day camp, the other pets made fun of him for being so organized. He sighed, then Ms. Twombly come in with and new pet, "Hey there Russell, look, a new friend! You have fun now!" Then she left. The two pets sat together quietly for some time, sighing and playing with their little paws. Russell wanted to break the silence.
"I I'm Wussell!" He greeted , the other pet started to look happy, "Im Minka! Minka mawk! And I love to paint!" Minka greeted back while moving her long hair out of her face. " Dere is an art thing other dere see?" Wussell-er- I mean Russell pointed, "Coowl want see me make a pwetty pictur? "OK" Minka began painting, but she got paint everywhere "Hey watch where you painting! It getting evewywhere!" Minka stopped painting
"I cannot see well, my hair is in my face," "oh, I fix it for you!" Russell got sissors "are you sure you can do it?" Russell nodded " Yes I read book bout' hair!" Russell snipped and snipped and snipped and you get the point, then he finally yell " I done, but you hair need a finish touch!" Russell have two blue hair bubbles in is belt , and put them into pony tail on Minka's hair.
She gasped, "Thank yous! Your good at hair! Your neat!" "thanks you, pets at the other day place doesn't appreciate my neatness" Minka jumped up "I do a lot!" "Weally? Wow you're a great fwiend!" Minka wanted to do something in return, "I got idea!" She painted another paint, but less messy this time. When she got done she gave to Russell, "Look! It you and me and it a big wed heawt a wound us! Cause' we are fwiends fowever!"
When their owners came, Russell said to Minka " I see you tomarrow OK!" "OK"….. "And that," Russell said, "Is the first time I met Minka, your mother" Russell had told the story to Belle, "How sweet! So she was your first friend?" Russell got out a picture of Minka "She sure was"
