This was supposed to be a one-shot, but Monday Night Football distracted me. But I promised WillyNilly23 something toight, so you get this.

Auggie usually only checked his mail once a week, but since Annie had been gone, he checked it daily, just in case. She had been gone for a month when he found a small box mixed in with the usual junk. In his apartment, he was positioning the box for his document reader to read the label when he felt some bumps on the side. They were braille.

"Handle with care," The message read. His breath caught, and he ran his fingers carefully over the rest of the box, in case there were any other messages.

Carefully, he opened the package and pulled out the contents. There was a roll of soft fabric inside. Auggie carefully unrolled the fabric, in case there was something else, but there was nothing but a t-shirt in the box.

Clear of the box, he could smell her on the fabric. Upon this realization, he put the fabric to his nose and inhaled. The package was from Annie. She had worn this shirt, then sent it to him. It was risky - he was mad at her for taking such a risk - but it was thoughtful.

He ran his fingers over the fabric and didn't feel any sort of print. There was a tag on the side seam, rather than at the collar, so he placed it on his document reader. It was a QR code that directed him to a clothing message board in Spanish. He scanned for a clue. On a page devoted to t-shirts he found NewTrierCheerleader. The message was simple.

"I found some of our old t-shirts, and thought they were fabulous. I've been looking for some of the same quality, and finally found one! It was so nice that I wore it for four days. I don't think anybody minded the smell! LOL."

Then there was a link to a plain grey t-shirt, which Auggie assumed was what was in his hand. He didn't care what it looked like. He just held it close and let it remind him of her.
