ONE.
"Look, Joe. Joe! Look at me," Alice turned to her boyfriend.
"Alice, I'm not gonna be like every other guy. I wished I never even liked you. I wish I never even met you." Joe looked at her with tears in his eyes.
"Joe, don't say that," Alice said, looking into his eyes, "I'm sorry, extremely sorry. But.. I just don't have feelings for you anymore."
"You know what Alice? Some people are famous for singing. Other people are famous for dancing. Some people are even famous for painting. But, you, Alice Martina Coberman are famous for being a heart breaker." Joe looked down, "And I bet you don't even care." And with that, Joe walked away without turning back.
"Mom, do I really have to go back to that stupid school?" Brandon looked at his mother, Renee, with pleading eyes on his way to Hiker Bay Middle, in her car.
Yes, you do." Renee replied bitterly.
"Mom, please," Brandon begged, "Can't I get home schooled?"
"Brandon, can you please just got to the school and deal with this like a mature young adult?" Renee asked, looking out the window.
"See? You've been acting like this since dad left," Brandon began, "Just STOP. Okay? He's not gonna come back. He doesn't care about us, Mom, he doesn't."
They arrived at the school.
Renee looked at him with tears in her eyes, "Get out."
