"Run Noah Run!" His mother Cathy Puckerman yelled out loud, as she hit the floor, trying desperately to hold back the attacker, scratch him grab him...anything to stop him going after her boy..her little Noah. "Go now!" She yelled out loud, tears mixing with the blood running down her face...she had to save him, save her little boy from the pain she had suffered over the years, from the agony her eyes showed.
Noah Puckerman, just a little boy, and he was running for his life, down the cold road, down the icy grass. He was running, part of him wanted to go back to help his mother to save her from the monster who had hurt her, to hurt him back but he was only 12, he couldn't take him on...not yet.

"Grab your sister and go!" His mother yelled out loud, as she sobbed on the floor, the attacker had struck again, his breath stunk of scotch, his fist was covered in her blood. as he pounded her into the floor. "Grab Sarah!" She screamed at the top of her voice "Save Sarah!" She yelled, that was her always caring for her children right until the end, Cathy Puckermans children came first.
Noah Puckerman, he was still too young only 14, sure he had grown but he couldnt take on a full grown man. He grabbed his 3 year old sisters hand and swung her into his arms, running down the road...the same icy road, he had ran down so many times in the dark of night.

"Noah, run!" She yelled for what seemed to be the 100th time, it was always the same, she always yelled and he was always ran. "Take your sister and go!" She said sobbing, as the monster beat her down again and again. "Now go Noah, before it's too late" She sobbed on the floor, bringing her hands up to shield her face though it made no difference...it never made a difference.
Puck, now 17...a man, sure he got into trouble (knocking girls up, and yeah...sleeping around) but he was a man, a mature man, and he shook his head this time...he wouldn't leave her again. The icy road would not feel his footsteps today. "Sarah go upstairs" He said to his little sister who immediately ran, to hide under her Disney Princess covers and cry, cry over her broken family, and her broken home.
"It's your turn to run" He said stepping forwards, he had wanted to do this his entire life...he had needed to do this. "Start running" He whispered pulling his fist back and snapping the man in the jaw, followed by a knee in the stomach and an elbow to the nose. He crumpled to the ground no longer the scary attacker he had seen as a child, his drunkenness made him slow...too slow, to slow for Puck.
"Get out" he spat to the floor, as the monster pulled himself up, and ran out the door, his blood stained clothes the last memory of him, his ashamed face...runnng out of the door...down the icy grass, the icy grass felt his footsteps...they wouldn't feel Noah's scarred ones again.
Sarah ran downstairs and hugged her mother and big brother tightly, the three of them embraced and they knew it was just the three of them now, he was gone. The monster who had given Noah nightmares was gone, he had finally ran into the darkness were he belonged, were he lived. They could now shine in the light, shine together happier than they had been ever.
He smiled to himself, that punch had been good...he guessed he had learnt from his old man. "Goodbye Dad" he muttered under his breath, before hugging his mother and little sister, protecting them...from the monster known as his father.
