The Result of Twins

Buffy looked at the clock, groaning when she realized how late it was. It seemed, these last few months, sleep was a luxury she could not afford. The twins were evil, she was sure of it. It was as if their goal in life was to make sure mummy was to exhausted to have any time for herself or with daddy.

It was at times like these that Buffy hated the fact that Spike was a vampire. "Damn him not being able to go in the sun," She muttered as she changed into her nightgown. Spike worked at the Bronze until the wee hours of the morning, and Buffy missed the limited cuddle time and the much-needed assistance around the house. It's not like she could make Dawn help. She had summer school to attend in order to graduate early.

Snuggling under the covers, Buffy heard the garage open. "Spike must be home early," Buffy thought, upset that she felt crappie.

" 'ello, Pet. How was your night?" He asked walking into the room and kicking off his boots. "The little poppets and Niblit alright?"

"They're all wonderful Spike, but I feel like I've been run over by a truck," Buffy said with a pout and kissed Spike as he leaned over her. "I just put them to sleep thirty seconds ago."

"Oh poor baby. You want Spike to make it all better?" Spike replied as he finished undressing and started to rub Buffy's aching feet. "Buffy?" He asked when she didn't answer.

"Zzzzz," was her only reply. Buffy was out like a light.

"Night Luv," Spike said as he climbed into bed and pulled Buffy close. "Sweet Dreams," He giggled before he drifted of to sleep.
