DarkTaoAngel: I have put a few stories on hold for a while, so that I can write some other ones, but I will update them soon! I do not own Shaman King, but I do own this story, and I would appreciate it if you all would review!
They had made a promise, the day they had been separated, to find each other again, and conquer any barrier that stood in their way towards being together. That promise stuck in each ones mind, even years after they had parted, and they awaited the day until they could meet again. The years had been rough, and the time was only half over, but they never gave up, because they knew that one day they would make each life fulfilled, each heart mended. Though they were worlds apart, still together they remained, until fate brought their two lives into one.
Five years ago this day, the two lived in harmony as both were eight years of age. They knew that they were both different from the other, but their lives collided, and they met. Carefree and wondering, they learned more about the other with each day, until they turned fourteen, and their families stepped in on their friendship.
Known assassins, Ren's family made a crude point about the Tao hatred, and they quickly removed him from the place in whence he had called home for so many years. He had run away from China, in hoped to rid himself of all negative emotions, and his first friend Pirika had helped him. And as he got older, he began to consider her more than a friend, until his father stepped in on him with open threats and constant beatings, forcing him to leave Pirika for years, until his father allowed him to, until his heart was so consumed with hate that he could not love.
Pirika's family had no choice but to let him leave, as the notorious reputation of his family got around to theirs. But the two made a vow, a sacred promise, that some day they would unite, and end their families clashes forever. And they both intended upon keeping it, no matter what happened, they would fight through any obstacles, to be together once again.
Their waiting was almost over, and Ren knew it, but it could only cause something horrible, for them both. Ren's father was trying his hardest to beat the evil into his son's body, and it was starting to take its effect on his soul as well. But he kept his vow, to some day break the cycle of hatred in his family, however rough the chains beat against his weak sides, he would have to get past that border, to be with her. She was the only one that had kept him alive these many years, her memory. His screams into the night were unheard, but he kept his hope with him that some day she would give him a shoulder to cry onto, and the support to move on.
DarkTaoAngel: I know, this chapter is not that good, but I could not think of anything else to start it off with. It will be a long story, and I hope that it will be good! Please review it, and I would like some pointers on how I could improve it!
