Amatetsuru: Hello and welcome to the very first chapter of a shinigami's life. This is about Asami a shinigami who just got out of the shinigami academy and has just joined the Gotei 13. By the way this is about 90 years before Ichigo was born.
Asami: Stop talking and start the story for goodness sake!

Asami PoV
I had finally finished the academy and it was the first day at the Gotei 13. I was put into the 13th division under Captain Ukitake and Lieutenant Kaien Shiba. I walked into the division nervous when something fell in front of my face. I saw Kaien fuku-taichou looking at me from where he looked at me from the roof. He stared at me like he had never seen a woman shinigami before. I sat there waiting for the taichou or fuku-taichou to tell me where to stay and what position I will be when I start work tomorrow. He then dropped off from the roof and started to give me instructions on what to do. "Your room is the 10th one on your left and you are our new 15th seat. Okay? I'll see you around, Shorty".
I walked into my new room to see what it looked like. It was the traditional type of Japanese room with the tatami mats and the low table. I started unpacking when someone rushed into my room. I turned to see Kotoko breathing heavily as she leaned against the door.
"Hey, what are you doing here? And how is your new division going?" I asked.
"I like my new division but my captain is a bit weird," She replied
Kotoko was put in the 5th division and from what I heard their Captain Hirako Shinji was a bit interesting. But their lieutenant was the one that was famous throughout all the female shinigami for being the perfect gentleman.
After Kotoko helped me finish unpacking we walked out of my room to have a look around Seireitei before we started work the next day.
We walked around Seireitei to have a look and to get to know the ways around the city because it was basically a maze that we had to go through just to go from the 13th division to the 12th.
I walked back to my room and vowed as I got into bed that someday I will become as strong as the Captains and become a captain in the Gotei 13.
