No Escape- Giotto Oneshot
She couldn't escape, couldn't bolt out of the corner in which she was trapped in, couldn't do anything but stand firmly with shaky legs in front of her former sweetheart.
Even with her widen, maybe even crazed, [e/c] orbs, she maintained her gaze on his approaching figure trudging through the light snow path. A graceful snowfall just began and it established itself over the icy stone alleyway.
The snowflakes…they're just like the time I first met him…
Then she saw his compassionate gaze bore through and her heart throbbed with a painful torture.
"[Name]…" he called out, a whisper so soft that she forgot about all the deleterious calamities that happened between them over the past two months.
That melodious call of my name…it's just like the time he called out to me when I was out here…alone.
She wanted to leap into his loving arms and feel the familiar warmth that kept her snug, but she couldn't do it anymore.
I was the one who betrayed him.
"…"
She knew that her silent reply was suffocating him inside and his agony hurt her even more.
"You know why I looked for you today…I still want your answer."
"No you don't," she murmured. "You don't want to know my answer."
"Yes I do, that's why I came-"
"No, you don't. You don't, Giotto, trust me."
"[Name]-"
"You don't want to know!"
Hot tears were streaming down her cheeks now; the whole conversation was driving her insane and she noticed that she was using the wall as a support.
"[Name]…"
That voice…I miss it deeply so…
She paled and more tears came pouring out, already knowing the outcome of this argument.
"You were lost on a day just like this. I found you and took you in; you became attach to me since you were frightened of the world."
"No…stop…please…" [Name] faintly pleaded.
"We were happy together."
"Stop Giotto, please."
"I was going to propose to you."
"Just stop it!"
"I love you [Name]."
"Giotto!"
He obeyed her request and patiently waited for her to calm down. She bitterly blinked back her tears and cursed to herself for acting like this.
I've made up my mind…
"I'll tell you this once and only once."
She shakily breathed in, a sob escaping her lips before she said her dreaded, untruthful, confession.
"I'm not going to Japan with you. I joined Daemon Spade in overthrowing you and…I have nothing to regret in doing so."
I'm not going to hurt him anymore.
[ooooooo]
Any question, or if you don't understand what's happening, then ask. :) The plot may seem confusing a bit so that's why I'm just throwing this out there.
And plus, Happy Birthday Giotto! Your birthday is on New Year's Day so here is an ironically depressing, short oneshot for you on your joyous day! XD
