With his feet dangling from the tall bridge, Thayre looked out over the horizon as he let out a sobering sigh. He didn't know if there would be a life on the other side or if he would hit the water and just fade away. He didn't care at this point. He
"I want this to end right now Amber. Right now." The words still fresh in his mind from when he followed her in the restroom at the movies. He practically begged her to say what he wanted to hear, but it never happened.
The silence keeps it easy
keeps you safe for the moment.
As you're walking away
your foot steps get louder.
All you needed was time
But now time will destroy us.
Half of the beauty with being in love with someone who won't admit it is the pain. It gives inspiration to write tragic poems. It makes you want to be a better person (even convert religions). It makes you actually want to go to school. It makes you want to protect your sister more because love is something that cannot be explained.
It will all be over, and here we are
we're stuck inside this salted earth together.
You'll pierce my lungs
my limbs go numb
as my colors fade out.
You watch me bleed.
You watch me bleed.
He closed his eyes as he stretched out his arms. He felt the wind blowing through his back. He suddenly felt the chills as he recalled the pair of them sharing a intimate moment in detention laughing over music and snacks. It gave him a reason to hold onto the moment, but once he realized his arms were empty, letting go seemed to be the only option.
"Gotta deliver what I promise. Death certificate is in her mailbox," He stated out-loud.

all you wanted was to live for a while

Freefalling without a parachute, Thayre allowed gravity to bring him toward the water. With the idea of redemption and revenge in his mind, he let out the first genuine smile had in a long time. He knew that she loved him, but he felt so empty that she was ashamed of him. Circumstance always wins.
It's almost over, and here we are
we're stuck inside this salted earth together.
You'll pierce my lungs
my limbs go numb
as my colors fade out.
As he felt the cold water hit his body, he felt a sense of release. Witnesses were screaming for help but he knew how long he could hold his breath. He wanted to float away and never been seen again. He wanted to erase Amber permanently. She would miss him, and he knew that. She probably already does because no matter who she meets, nobody could ever love her deeper.
You watch me bleed.
You watch me bleed.
The local paper said that he died. Amber found the death certificate in her mailbox not soon after. She questioned if he was still alive out there somewhere or maybe he truly was dead but on the inside. Could his remains be decomposing at the bottom of the river?
Upon reading it, she found the official cause of death to say: a broken heart that still lies beating in your hands with Thayre's familiar handwriting.
