Ayame softly smiled. "It's all right. Just forget about it."

Kagome looked concerned. "Are you sure, Ayame?"

Ayame turned around and faced them. She nodded. "Yes. I'm sure. Forget about our engagement, Koga. You don't remember. Forget what I said." Ayame looked up. "Anyway, there's someone else I love."

Koga looked surprised, while everyone else looked shocked.

"But we thought you loved Koga!" exclaimed Shippo.

Ayame glanced at Shippo. "That's right. I did love Koga. But not anymore." Ayame took a deep breath. In a flash, she was over in front of Inuyasha, grasping his hands in hers and holding them up between them.

"Inuyasha. I love you. You're heroic, strong and a thousand times better than Koga could ever be. You wouldn't forget a promise, or break it anyway. You could lead the wolves if you wanted to. Plus, you're a half demon, so it wouldn't be breaking the Elder's rules if I married you. I know you don't love me, yet, but I am determined to make you love me. One day, I will marry you, be it arranged or not, because I know the dog-demons would like an alliance with the wolf-demons." Ayame looked determined, and moved her face closer to Inuyasha's. "And nothing will ever stop me, not even Naraku."

Inuyasha stared at Ayame. There was a thump. Everyone looked around to find Koga had fainted. Ayame deliberately turned her head in the other direction.

"Koga!" Kagome cried, and Miroku, Sango and Shippo soon gathered around him. He woke shortly.

Ayame was still standing in front of Inuyasha, and Inuyasha was still staring at her.

"I… I-I can't believe she chose that mutt over me…" Koga dazedly said.

"Did you like her?" said Miroku.

"No… but I can't believe anyone would choose the mongrel over me…" Koga replied.

"I'm sorry Ayame, but I don't love you." Inuyasha finally answered. Everyone turned to watch Inuyasha and Ayame.

Ayame laughed. "Don't worry. I know that." She smiled, and quickly kissed Inuyasha on the cheek.

Kagome looked murderous, and Koga looked… almost jealous.

"As much as I know you miss me, I have to go." She flitted quickly to the trees. She turned back. "And remember Inuyasha, I am the only one you can marry. The only one. Bye!" She turned into a tornado and vanished.

Koga climbed to his feet. "I better be going as well. Bye, Kagome! Next time, I'll bring you Naraku's head!" He disappeared. Then he reappeared.

"What did you come back for? I thought we were rid of your wolf smell!" Inuyasha snapped at Koga with his arms crossed.

Koga put his hands on his hips. "You aren't doing a good job of keeping me away, then, huh? I'm here to warn you."

"Warn me? What could you possibly warn me of?" Inuyasha sneered.

Koga's eyes narrowed. "Just don't fall for Ayame, okay?" Koga then turned into a tornado and disappeared.

"So wolf-boy's jealous, huh, Koga!" Inuyasha called into the wind. "Maybe I will fall for Ayame!"

Inuyasha, finishing teasing the wind, turned to see a fearsome sight.

"Inuyasha…" Kagome hissed. "Sit."

CRASH! One dog-demon on the ground. "Why do you always do that?" Inuyasha groaned.

"Just get up and stop complaining."

"O-Okay."

A while later…

Shippo remarked, "There seems to be a love square around Inuyasha! Wait, make that love rectangle!"

BANG! One fox-demon with a lump on his head, sat on the ground with a very angry dog-demon looming over him.

"Don't say that." growled Inuyasha.

Miroku sighed. "It's been a busy day. Why don't we find a village with a nice inn, with pretty ladies, and stay the night? Preferably all night with the pretty ladies."

BANG! One monk with a lump on his head, sat on the ground with a very angry demon slayer looming over him.

"What did you say?" growled Sango.

"Nothing!" said Miroku quickly. He feared for his life, when Sango was like this.

"We're staying here." Sango decided.

"Fine with me." shrugged Kagome.

And so, the six adventures ate dinner and went to sleep. What more adventures lie and wait fro them, I do not know…
