Disclaimer: I don't own any of the characters except for Faith.

L's body started falling out of his seat for his body began loosing its balance. Faith couldn't believe what she was witnessing; L was dying in front of her very eyes. Light had caught him before he fell to the cold, hard marble flooring. Faith could have sworn that she saw light grinning. L's eyes slowly began closing.

"Faith, I love your." L spoke his last words as loud as he could. His last words burned Faith's ears.

Faith ran up to Matsuda and grabbed his gun. She had also shoved him into a picture that hung on the wall. Faith had a firm hold on the gun's handle. Faith pointed the dangerous weapon at Light. Light turned around to look at her surprised that she had done such a thing. Faith's anger began manifesting, clouding her judgment.

"Faith, put the gun down. We know that you feel angry and hurt now that he's gone but you don't really want to hurt anybody." Light's father tried to convince her to change her mind.

"SHUT UP! JUST SHUT UP!" Faith yelled.

Tears began welling up in her eyes, sadness had engulfed her.

"Why him? He didn't deserve this!" Faith questioned. Tears ran down the sides of her face and she put the gun down.

The others were relieved when she had put the gun down. But Faith soon wiped the tears from her eyes with her free hand and went back to her original position.

Faith's facial features showed her anger. Her once big and bright dark blue eyes were now narrowed as her teeth were clenched. Faith then pulled the trigger. The bullet flew out of the gun, cutting though the air on its passing and immediately hit Light in his chest. He fell to the ground in agony. The others gabbed their own guns and aimed all of them at Faith. Faith jerked her arm up and the gun appeared against her right temple. Then she pulled the trigger. Her lifeless body hit the floor. The former cops couldn't believe that they had just witnessed two deaths in the past fifteen minutes and a possible third.

Faith knew that she would never be able to recover from L's death. Life just seemed so empty without him there at her side to face all of the obstacles that were to come their way. Her love for him was just so great that in the first few moments of his death that it was so hard to grasp the fact that he really was gone.

Light's father held Light within his arms. He looked down at his little boy, hearing his struggle to breath and the light in his eyes was growing dim.

"Dad…" Light struggled to say.

"Light you shouldn't speak…" his father said.

"I cant believe that she did this to me…I was going to tell her that I was in love with her." Light said, her truly did love her but never got the chance to confess his feelings.

"The hurt of L's sudden death drove her to insanity because the Faith that we knew would never do what she just did." His father said.

"I believe that too." Light said with a small smile on his lips. The sparkle that was in his eyes before was gone. His eyelids slid closed forever and the smile that was on his lips left as soon as it came.

The chief couldn't believe that his son, his little boy, his friend was now gone.
