Caylis didn't like Jacques. Well, she barely know him, so I guess that's understandable. But she's neither love him nor hate him. One thing's for sure, Caylis knew that she was in love, not with Jacques but her sister's sweetheart. At first, she wished that they would be blessed and live a happy life. Then, one day, it struck her.

SHE was collecting seashells, until she received a teal envelope with a sky blue letter in it. Isca wrote everything in dark blue. Caylis had always wondered why Isca was crazy for blue but it was a beautiful and nice letter to be sent to a banished sister.

Dear Sister

Don't ever think that I have forgotten about you. I still love you and miss you. And I'm certain that some of the Maraquans misses you, too.

Caylis smirked. Misses me. Right.

But that doesn't keep her from reading the letter. All of them were only words like Oh, how I miss you, Caylis and I wished you were here with me and all of my other Maraquan friends.

Until she read something that made panic and hurt running inside her veins.

I've asked Nereid and Queen Fyora to change me into a two-legged Aisha. And guess what? I'm not a mermaid, anymore!

Oh, I forgot to tell you, me and Garin are getting married.

She took a deep breath and let out a heavy sigh before she immediately tear the letter into tiny bits. Days passed and all of the bits have gone as they have been washed away by the waves.

GARIN and Isca had a beautiful wedding by the sea, which used to be Isca's home. But Caylis and her tail was nowhere to be near or found but she did watched the wedding, secretly.

She watched with a hurt look as she saw Isca wore the diamond ring Garin gave her. The most hurtful thing she had ever seen with her dark blue eyes was when Garin leaned closer to Isca before he kissed her… on the lips…

THAT NIGHT, Caylis was too busy thinking of how Isca and Garin's honeymoon was like. She imagined Isca in a teal satin dress and Garin, well, shirtless…

An Aisha and an Usul. Well, whatever hybrid they'll make, it will surely be beautiful. She imagined a yellow Usul with sky blue eyes and his parents' bravery.

ONE DAY, Caylis went to the shore and she saw someone, Jacques!

Jacques was certainly enjoying her company though Caylis' main reason going to the shore was to pay a visit to see her sister and her newly-wed husband.

A YEAR passed and Caylis still doesn't like Jacques. Well, maybe a little but she does not like him as a friend nor a lover.

BUT only as friendly next-door neighbor.
