On that day everything seemed to go wrong since the very beginning. Shaoran woke up and found that he overslept. He put on his school uniform, brushed his teeth and then he rushed into kitchen. Meiling was already gone, but the rice cooker was standing on the table along with a lunchbox with some rice balls she prepared. He grabbed the lunchbox, picked up his schoolbag lying on the chair, stepped into his shoes prepared by the entrance and went out of the flat.
It was very windy day in the beginning of November, and it seemed to start to rain very soon. Red leaves were lying on the street and it was giving Shaoran very melancholic feelings. He could not stop thinking about Sakura and the fact she's in love with somebody else made him very angry and sad. It was only few days ago when he finally realised it is love what he is feeling for her. He was overwhelmed with the power of this feeling and he felt he just must do something to confess his feelings to her. Otherwise, he would become crazy soon.
He quickly continued on his way to school, with Sakura on his mind, when it started to rain finally. Shaoran started to feel like not going to school today. Though he can meet Sakura there, maybe he would feel only very nervous and could not concentrate into study and talking to other friends at all. He wanted to be alone and think.
It was just few blocks from Tomoeda Elementary School, when he heard Sakura shouting at him. "Li-kun!" He stopped walking and turned around. As soon as he saw Sakura, wearing cute pink windcheater and rushing towards him with a nice smile, his heart started to pound quickly, he felt his cheeks like being on fire and then, like almost any time Sakura was on his mind, he found himself being aroused. "Li-kun," she repeated with her sweet voice. "You are being late, too?"
"Yes, I overslept," he answered after a while. He was not prepared to talk to her right now, but finally he realised this unexpected meeting made him happy. Especially because Sakura seemed to be so happy today and that cheered him up a lot as well. "Me too! My alarm rang, but I did not wake up. Like almost every other day," continued Sakura very cheerfully. "I think it is middle of the Math class right now. I do not like Math at all. Li-kun, I know, that you like Math very much, but what about going to some café, until the next class would begin?" "I...Is it really OK?" said Shaoran, surprised, as he could not believe his ears. He would never expect Sakura skipping a class, and what more, there was nothing else what he wanted more, than to spend some time with Sakura alone. But at the same time, as he realised this could be the chance to tell her about his feelings, his heart started to beat faster again.
