I am grateful.
You where there from the start,
Guiding me forward,
You watched as I learned,
Urging me to open my eyes.
I am grateful.
You where there when I fell,
Offering me your hand,
You still there when I accepted,
Helping me back to my feet.

Everything was new,
And all I knew wrong,
Everything I'd been taught,

You knew so much,
It scared me so,

I was blinded my own light,

Out here I knew naught,

Your darkness countered my light,

When you where near,

I scared to see,
For the sights hurt deeply,
