"Let's start off with Kayla Gomez!" Numbuh 362 announced. Slowly the 10 year old girl walked to the KND Code Module. Let me tell you what's about to happen, if you're confused. All the new 'rookie' operatives were once again going through graduation and being separated into their new Sectors and given their operative Numbuh. All the rookies were nervous or excited, or an odd mixture of both.
Ever since the 'mysterious disappearance' of Numbuh 1, the legendary leader of Sector V, the KND had been very… Different. Numbuh 362 has been very distraught, and all the Sectors have been unorganized.

Numbuh 362 called out my name. Nervous, I slowly shuffled on stage, my breath quickening. I kind of zoned out on the computer had said, at least until I was to give a speech and state my operative name. Once the computer had finished speaking, I stated my new operative name. "I choose to be… NUMBUH 7 OF THE KIDS NEXT DOOR!" I hollered in excitement. Then was assigned a Sector. "Numbuh 7 of Sector V." The automated voice announced.
No respond came from the crowd. The four members of Sector V looked up from their seats to see their new recruit. I gaped in awe and surprise. I'd always dreamt of being entered into Sector V, but not once did I believe that it would have happened! Speech time. "I swear to fight and protect kids from all adulteriny, and should I ever betray the Kids Next Door, I shall be decommissioned immediately!" I announced. Everyone in the crowd erupted into cheers. Everyone except for Sector V. First sign of disapproval. My head drooped as I walked back to the rest of the soon to be operatives. After the ceremony finished and the after party began, I went to go and speak to Numbuh 362. "Um… There's no real way to approach you with this, but Numbuh 362 sir? What happened to Numbuh 1?" I asked her, and her face fell. "I… uh, we haven't been able to figure out." She said quietly. "I need to speak to Numbuh 86." She said suddenly before rushing off.
A small tap on my shoulder distracted me though. I turned around to see Sector V. "Listen, about earlier. Numbuh 5 wants to apologize for the way we acted it's just…" Numbuh 5 trailed on. "It's fine. I understand." I said. I scanned the over members before pushing my glasses up. "We're not really in the mood for a party, so let's go." Numbuh 5 said before turning on her heels and walking towards the S.C.A.M.P.E.R.
