Halloween Night.
The weather was cold, on this Halloween night, and the fire which was burning in the grate was appreciated. Jack had been invited by Samantha. And even if he disliked parties since the death of his son, he had been unable to refuse.
Both were sitting on the carpet in front of the fireplace, leaning back on the sofa, and talking about this and that. Jack really hoped that children would not disturb their calm evening for candies. Moments in private with Sam were really too few to be wasted. They were talking joyously, they were smiling, laughing, in short, it was a pleasant moment.
And it's -of course- at this moment, that the bell rang. Jack growled, and Sam stood up to go and open he door. Jack stood up too, and followed her. When she opened the door, a little group of monsters, vampires and witches tightened her bags, full of candies.
« Trick or treat ! »
Sam couldn't prevent herself from smiling, but Jack, furious because children had interrupted them, answered them in a bad mood :
« There's no candy here, sorry. Go and see somewhere else. »
So saying , he shut the door in their faces, turned round, and saw the smile Sam couldn't hide. He pretended to be offended.
« - Do you find this situation amusing?!
- Not at all, Sir. »
But her smile still betrayed her, and Jack found her even more irresistible. He let a sensual smile appear on his face and walked to her dangerously. Her face changed, in a unbeliever expression, and she didn't do anything when he stopped only a few centimeters from her.
Eyes to eyes, Sam wondered what was going to happen now, her scientist brain working very quickly. As he understood the questions she was being seized by, Jack tilted his head to hers, and put his lips on her mouth. They shared a greedy kiss, which was worth all the candies of the world. Sam answered to his kiss, and put her arms round his body.
This moment could have lasted a few hours, but the bell rang again.
« I hate brats ! »
A crystalclear burst of laughter answered him , and at that time his mood became more attractive. Her laugh could really make him do anything. He his kissed her eagerly again, stopping her hilarity.
Finally, Halloween would not be that sad, this year !
