A/N: Just because I wanted another HikoKenshin father/son-ish moment.
The child's curious stares gave him away, the Hiten Mitsurugi master knew the child was curious, but did not give in. And just as he thought the violet-eyed child had given up, he was subject of the inquisitive gaze yet again. Sighing, the elder man turned to his disciple.
Thinking he had displeased his master, the orange haired child backed away, bowing his head in apology. He was shocked when he felt a calm, gentle hand on his shoulder, the violet eyes gazed in amazement as he suddenly lifted onto his master's shoulder.
"Don't get excited," The older man said in feigned exasperation. "It's only this once, Kenshin." The violet eyed child let out a toothy grin, and just once, he allowed himself a moment of childhood.
