Heero's Point of View

Boom! Boom! Crash!

The Earth shook on contact.

Explosions finally pass.

Minutes before I connected with the Earth,

My Gundam was destroyed,

And so was my shirt.

Another Gundam exploded,

I shielded my eyes.

As soon as the smoke cleared,

I was caught by surprise.

The whole area was barren,

The explosion was bad.

There was death everywhere,

Lots of families were sad.

In the midst of it all,

At the area of impact,

The place of explosion,

Dragon Scythe sat.

"Danny!" I cried,

The sound came from my lips

As a desperate plea,

Echoing in the dead wind.

I ran toward the rubble,

Yelling her name now an then,

Every time I stumble

Scraping my knees on the ground

But I didn't care,

If I got hurt,

For I'm a soldier.

I'm used to it.

But I'm not used to,

However,

The feeling I got,

When I was near her.

I reached the edge

Of the large crater.

I slid down the side.

In order to get there.

Small fires were everywhere,

I heard sirens in the distance

But if I were correct. They,

Couldn't get here on time.

I uncovered the cockpit,

And pried it open,

It was empty, to my dismay

Except for a small token.

Her necklace was lying on the seat,

Covered in blood.

Hard to tell though,

With all the mud.

Expecting the worse,

I stepped back out.

Only to see,

Another suit go down.

Our side was winning,

I can tell for sure.

Yet did I care?

The answer was blurred.

I heard a soft moan,

Near where I stood.

I investigated the spot,

And the result was good.

Bruised and bloodied.

She lay in the dirt.

I tried pulling her out,

Yet under the Gundam lay her foot

I was at a loss,

Until Duo ran by.

I asked for help,

He said he'd try.

So together we lifted the Gundam,

Though it took awhile.

When we freed her,

It was my turn to smile.

The battle has ended.

We won the war.

And Gundam Pilots gathered.

We were all sore.

Quatre and Trowa,

Automatically,

Took Danny to the hospital

For once I was happy.

Hours, Days,

Maybe even a week.

Danny has yet to come out,

She must have been very weak.

Yet I waited,

Waited for those days.

Till the doctor came out,

And said she was okay.

She walked out afterwards,

And smiled at me.

Said, "You worry too much."

I hugged her with glee.

So after that,

We lived happily.

We suffered no more wars,

Except the one called 'Family'.
