"Babe what are you thinking about." I heard a voice say as I sat in my favorite Slytherin green, high backed chair. It was my favorite place to relax. The room was quiet, the only sound coming from the fire in front of me, gently lighting up the room with a soft glow.

"Not a lot. Just remembering the past." This was not common for me, but an activity that I still enjoyed doing.

"Oh?"

"Yes. The night that we first had a proper conversation."

"That was the best night of my life, well the second best night of my life, closely following the night of our bonding."

Oh how my life had changed in the last few short years, time has just flown by. I can't wait until my family starts to grow. I have been alone for most of my life; I don't ever want to be alone again.

I did not expect to survive the war. In fact I should have died during the final battle. I was severely injured. Poison running through my veins. I only had seconds to live. I was ready to die, leaving the world that I had started to believe that I no longer deserved to live in. How could I deserve to live with all I had done? So many people that had already died where more worthy to live than I. That was when everything changed. With a burst of flames I was not alone in the dreary room any more. Fawkes looked me in the eyes. It seamed like he was trying to tell me something. Darkness started to cloud my vision. I knew my time was up. Just as I sucked in my last breath and darkness completely took over I heard a soft trill.

Days later the sky was dim, the quickly setting sun plunging the world into darkness. Before I could open my eyes I heard the soft breathing of another person. Wearily I opened my eyes to see who it was. The next thing I know I was looking straight into the glowing eyes of the last person I expected to see. I slowly pulled myself into a sitting position. I can't appear to be weak now, can I? I slowly met his eyes again. That was when I realized that my life was never going to be the same again.

I let a soft smile grace my lips. That night had changed my life for the better. We had stayed up well into the early morning talking. That was when I realized that I truly knew nothing about him.

"Coming to join me in bed Sev" my beautiful husband said to me.

I look up at the small smirk on his face and immediately knew what he was planning. I beckoned him closer and placed my hand on his beautify rounded stomach. I could not wait for my family to start growing in a few short months. I hope it will be the first of many children I get to guide into being strong and brave adults, just like my bonded.

"Let us retire for the night." I replied, as I grasped Harry's had, leading him into our bedroom for a wonderful night filled with activities.
