Hey, a one shot Azumanga fic! Enjoy, and please comment! Full Moon Alternate is coming...eventually, by the way. akichan911. P.S. I don't own Azumanga Daioh!
"Whoa, look, a flying saucer!" screamed Tomo.
Nobody even turned their heads. It was not unusual to hear that sort of thing coming out of Tomo's mouth, and at that volume. The only thing that she got was a "shut up" from Miss Yukari.
But Tomo wouldn't stop staring out the window. Her eyes were as big as…well, they were as big as an anime character's. She was in complete awe at the sky; completely focused on it. She definitely saw something.
One by one, the rest of her friends (Chiyo-chan, Osaka, Yomi, Sakaki, Kagura, and Kaorin) came in, all coming over to Tomo to tell her good morning; but they got no response. Tomo just kept staring up at the sky. This startled her friends, because usually Tomo couldn't focus on anything, let lone a boring, everyday sky. But she did, even through class. And she spoke not a word until lunch.
"You guys…" Tomo said, calmly. This was even more startling; Tomo was never calm.
"Um, are you alright?" Chiyo-chan asked.
A moment of silence, and then Tomo spoke.
"I saw a flying saucer."
Sweat-drops accumulated behind each of the girl's heads.
"What the hell is wrong with you today?" asked Kagura.
"I'm not kidding," said Tomo. "It was huge, and it was in the sky for only a second."
Again, silence.
"And one of you is an alien," Tomo concluded.
More silence.
And then...laughter.
"Bwahahahaha!" yelled Kagura and Yomi. "Girl, that was actually hilarious!"
"Hey, but you know, you guys…" Chiyo-chan said quietly, "…I think I saw something on the way here, too."
"Me too," Kaorin added.
"And me as well," Sakaki said.
"Yeah, I think I saw something flying up there on the way here," Osaka said.
Kagura and Yomi stared in awe at them. "For real? Are you sure?" they asked.
"So…" said Tomo, "…if one of you guys is an alien, tell us now."
Nobody said a word.
"Then we will find the alien," Tomo decided.
"Please write the name of the person you think is the alien on a piece of paper. Then give it to me. I'll write a name too."
So each girl wrote the name of who they thought was the alien.
--
So Tomo read off the names…
"No one here, no one here, Tomo, Tomo, Tomo, Chiyo-chan."
Finally, it was all off their chests.
"WHAT THE HELL IS WITH ALL THE TOMOS!?" exclaimed Tomo.
"You are usually a crazy idiot that doesn't act like a normal human benign," said Yomi.
"You're usually a total spaz, but today you're all calm," said Kagura. "But it seems you back to your normal self now!"
"And to top it all off: you think one of us is an alien!" Kaorin finished.
"JUST BECAUSE YOU ALL THINK I BELONG IN A MENTAL INSTITUION DOESN'T MEAN I'M AN ALIEN!" screamed Tomo.
"Fine, fine," said Yomi. "Just shut up."
"Who said Chiyo-chan?" asked Tomo.
"I did!" exclaimed Osaka.
That was definitely unexpected on Osaka's part.
"Well…why?" asked Chiyo-chan.
"The pigtails…their parasites," she said dramatically.
Again, the sweat-drops poured.
"Uh…let's just forget about that one," said Yomi.
Miss Yukari then walked into the room with an announcement.
"Hey you guys, just in case any of you saw anything weird in the sky, the
principal wanted me to let you know that that was just a piece of junk that got blown off
the roof," she said.
"Haha, you thought it was an alien spaceship!" teased Kagura.
Tomo sighed. She had kind of hoped that she really saw a flying saucer. She
went back to her seat, and life went on as normal as if none of this had ever happened.
Little did they know, that in a forest behind their high school, that Mr. Kimura
was boarding an unusual looking craft shaped like a plate…
