Teacher's Pet
There she sat by the lake, her thick lustrous red hair swaying in the wind. She was laughing with her friends and was oblivious to all the watchful male eyes staring her way. There was one male in particular who had his intense gaze set on this lovely girl. She was so beautiful, so innocent. He knew how wrong it was to feel this way about her. After all, she was his student. How he wished she were in his house so he could be closer to her. Lily suddenly turned around, feeling his strong gaze. She smiled when she saw him. Her two girlfriends giggled and whispered to each other. Lily could distinctly hear "teacher's pet" and "Sluggie's got a girlfriend" from their lips, which never seemed to be able to stay shut. She glared at them and stood up to walk towards Slughorn.
"How did I do on my Draught of the Living Dead exam, professor?"
"Excellent, my dear, excellent!" he exclaimed. "Only A+ in the class. You have a natural talent for Potion making. You are simply the most brilliant student I have had the pleasure of teaching. How is it that someone like you wasn't placed in Slytherin, my dear? You have the ambition, the drive, the talent…..you'd do quite well here you know….
"I wouldn't be in Slytherin if Merlin himself paid me a million galleons to be there," she replied with a devilish grin..
"Oh now Lily, see here! Not all Slytherins are bad, but I suppose that's just an old-age prejudice of Gryffindor."
"Prove me wrong, Professor,"she smirked, then proceeded to go sit back down by the lake with Emily and Susannah.Oh how he wanted to do just that. He wanted to touch that soft white skin. He wanted to kiss those full pouty lips. He wanted to take her in his arms and……he had to stop thinking about her. He was getting so hot just doing that. He went to cool himself off with a cold shower.
"Is something wrong, Horace?" Minerva McGonagall asked the following morning at breakfast. He had been completely silent since they sat down to eat. It was very unlike him. Minerva usually considered his constant babblings quite annoying.
"Nothing at all, Minerva", he replied, his gaze on the Gryffindor table. James Potter was sitting next to her, joking and playfully teasing her. Horace smiled as he saw Lily push him away and turned her head to ignore her. Potter wasn't worthy of Lily. He was just an arrogant jerk who cared only about Quidditch. Of course Horace knew i why Potter was after her. Who wouldn't want to be with Lily? She was incredibly beautiful, smart, funny, and mischievous. If only I were her age again, he thought miserably. That's the only way anything could ever happen between us.
