"Dean!" Sam said. "Wake your ass up, I found a case." Dean opened his eyes, rolled over, and looked at his brother with a kind of "I will kill you" look. Rubbing his eyes, Dean says, "You've got to be kidding me Sammy! It's 2:00 in the morning and you say you have a case." Sam looked at his half-awake brother and gave him a glare. "Alright, what do you got?" Sam looks at his brother and smiles in amusement. "Well, I'm not exactly sure." "What do you mean you're not sure?" Dean replied. "Well, I did a little researching. I think we may be dealing with a Kitsune" "A Kitsa-what?" Dean asked. "A Kitsune. It's a Japanese fox. It has the ability to appear as a human being, It is said to have as many as 9 tails when in its animal form" "So, we're dealing with Tails? When does Sonic play along in this?" Dean joked. "Dean, that made no sense." Sam barked. "Screw you" Dean hissed, rolling his eyes. Sam chuckled and then replied "So there have been five disappearances in the past week. One body showed up near a river in Nevada." Sam said. "So they drowned?" Dean asked. "No, She was torched." Dean, trying to sink this all in asked in confusion, "Torched? You mean she was burnt to a crisp?" "Exactly" Sam replied. "and the other bodies?" Dean asked. "They haven't been found yet." Sam said. "So how do we kill the bastards?" Dean asked. "Kitsune, depending on how they have manifested, can be harmed in different ways. A Kitsune who just manifests is capable of regeneration, healing most wounds in almost no time at all, and developing resistances to your normal weaponry. It's said that if a Kitsune is struck by a blessed object, or a magical object, such attacks can cripple or outright slay a manifested Kitsune, driving it into the spirit realm, or, if powerful enough, destroying it completely." Sam lectured. Dean trying to wrap his head around what he has just heard, finally replies "So we're going to need Cas's help on this?" "Yes. I know you two haven't been getting along lately, but y'all are going to have to set your differences aside, at-least until the case is over." Sam says in a soft but yet stern type of voice. Dean groaned, and then rolled over in the old wooden full size bed in the some-what raggedy old Wyoming hotel room they rented for the last case they worked. "Fine, we'll leave first thing in the morning." Sam rolled his eyes and closed his laptop and drifted off to sleep.
