It was a day like any other. Nothing special. Just another day. Kim was just getting ready to meet monique for a day full of shopping and girl talk. Just as she was heading out the door the phone rang.
"I got it!" hollered Anne from the den. Kim had just opened the door when she heard her mother again. "Kimmie! The phone's for you!"
Kim shut the door and walked back to the den to get the call. "Thanks Mom." She said as she put the receiver to her ear. "Hello?"
"Hey girl." Said the young african-american girl on the other end of the line.
"Hey yourself Mo. I was just leaving to meet you."
"Yeah, about that. I'm going to have to cancel our plans. Club Banana just called and said that the new girl couldn't make it in so now I have to cover her shift. Sorry!"
"Its ok. I'll just go over to Ron's place and see if he wants to go catch a movie or go to Bueno Nacho." explained Kim.
"Ok. Maybe we can go tomorrow."
"Sounds like a plan. I'll see you tomorrow Monique."
"right. Well I guess I'll see you later. Bye."
With that Kim hung up the phone and told her mother about the change of plans. "I'll see you later Mom. I'm on my way to Ron's."
"Have fun Kimmie."
It was just a short walk to Ron's from her house. The Stoppable's were like a second family to her so she felt no need to knock as she entered their house. Walking into the kitchen she saw Mrs. Stoppable sitting at the table.
"hello Mrs. Stoppable. Is Ron home?"
"he's in his room. Go on up."
"thanks."
As Kim walked up the stairs she could hear Ron mumbling to him self. She snuck into his room and found him sitting at his computer desk grinning like the Cheshire cat. Quietly she walked up behind him to look and see what had his attention so strongly that he hadn't even heard her walk into his room. What she saw blew her away. She had never expected to see Ron looking at sites like this.
" Ron just what do you think your looking at?!?" She hollered at him scaring him and making him jump at least a foot off the chair.
Quickly he turned off the monitor and turned to look at her. "Um...hey KP...how long have you been here?" He said as he nervously rubbed the back of his neck.
"Long enough to see what site you were looking at." she said scowling at her blond boyfriend. "I didn't think I'd ever see you looking at stuff like that."
"Its not what you think. I was just...um...searching for something and the search engine shot me here. But you shouldn't be so upset. It is just a simple site. Everyone looks at it some time."
"Not everybody. I have never looked at such a site." She stated angrily. "I just can't believe your into this sort of stuff. Just look at all the different sites you have wrote down."
"Kim I wasn't into it at first but the more I looked the more I started to like it. I never meant to get this involved in it." he protested. "Besides you make it sound like I was looking at porn. Its just a little fan fiction."
"I know." She said deflated. "Its just I thought only geeks and nerds looked at it. You know people like cousin Larry."
"that's what I thought at first but the more I read the more I liked. You should read some before you pass judgement. There are some really talented people here. There is this writer on here that goes by the name Yvj that writes some of the funniest and saddest stuff I read. And G-go writes the best adventure stories ever. And the stuff zaratan writes is downright awesome."
"Well maybe I was a little harsh. I guess I'll have to look in to it. Do you want to go to Bueno nacho? Nacos are on me for yelling at you. I'm sorry."
"its ok KP. And I think I'll take you up on that offer."
