 -- DRAMATIC --

Yes, I know being serious is really out of my style. But hey—at least it isn't angst. ^^;; Actually I was planning to make one serious fic every 10 funny fics. May I? If you don't like this, I'll drag it away. Or if you want a Romance/Humor sequel, you're welcomed. Just tell me what you think to make yourself comfortable. Please pardon me. Sometimes I just need to be serious.

DISCLAIMER : What is mine? Exactly nothing.

GENRE           : Romance/General

RATING          : PG-13

PAIRINGS      : Sanzou/Goku, Goku/Sanzou

SUMMARY    : One-shot. AU. Sanzou used to think that life was not special… until the destined curve got him stuck with his little lover saru…

WARNING     : shounen ai, curses, sappy, OOC.

Here we go…

Life is normal.

Life is realistic.

Life is routine.

Life is dull.

Life is… just like that.

Nothing is too much. Nothing is too little.

Life isn't the drama you often watch on TV.

There won't be any romantic background music when you propose to your lover.

There won't be any mournful background music when you're sad.

There won't be a rising-sun picture behind you when you're happy.

There won't be that lightning effect when you're shocked.

Life isn't something you read in a shoujo manga.

Life isn't something you watch in Shakespeare's theaters.

Life is just something like that.

Nothing is too much. Nothing is too little.

Nothing is too dramatic. Everything is so damn dull.

Life is… just like that.

*BUMP* *THUD*

Sanzou was ready to yell. His books were lying everywhere as the winter's cold wind blew them away. His glasses fell onto the sidewalk, and Sanzou quickly leant down to collect them. Without glasses, he could barely see anything. Just when he was about to pick them up, another hand came first to collect the black-framed semi-rectangle glasses.

"Sorry." the boyish voice said, "Err… I was daydreaming. I didn't see you coming."

Sanzou furiously snatched back his glasses and wiped them clean. Sanzou never liked anyone touching his property. He always kept dirty hands away from him, as the anti-social he was.

Sanzou happened to glance at the guy's face after putting on his glasses. He couldn't help but stare at the cute golden-eyed boy.

"Let me help you…" the boy nervously started collecting Sanzou's books before handing them all back to Sanzou, "H—here! I hope they're still in good condition…"

Sanzou snorted as his mind was silently cursing himself for staring at the boy like a desperate pervert.

"Are you OK? Are you injured? Can you walk??" the boy put his hands on Sanzou's shoulders and started to examine the other guy.

"I'm OK." Sanzou was too proud to let the boy do anything more. Even though actually he didn't mind it at all.

"Aa… thank God." the chocolate-haired boy smiled sheepishly, "Ano… I know it sounds impolite… but… may I know your name?"

Sanzou widened his violet eyes for a few seconds. Most probably this boy was admiring him as much as he did to the boyish faced guy.

And he smirked.

"Only on one condition." Sanzou settled his glasses casually, "Tell me your name first."

The boy blushed at his smile. With a sheepish grin, he raised a hand to Sanzou, "Goku. Son Goku."

Sanzou looked in to the golden eyes before him deeply. Suddenly he felt a tender warmth flow through his body. His ears started to hear a soundless song of joy inside his mind.

For the first time in his twenty-three years of life, Sanzou finally learnt to believe that…

Life wasn't that unromantic at all.

"Genjo Sanzou. It's nice to meet you… Goku."

Being a bit dramatic wouldn't hurt.
