She sees beauty everywhere—
in the skies, in the Earth,
in water, in her children,
in her Peeta.

Or, she used to.

She watches with dead eyes,
her arms and legs aching from cold, burning metal,
at the tv set in front of her.

An unusual act of kindness,
she thought at first—
but soon realized it was cruel torture.

Tears slid down her cheeks,
as she watched her beautiful Rose and her beautiful Aspen—
oh, the only things left of Peeta—
stare at each other in the tropical arena.

No, she shouted, screaming, no, no, no!
She pulled at the chains that kept her imprisoned.

And she watches with burning vision,
as her son drops to the ground, motionless.

The Hunger Games have been won.
