-This is a side note i am very very very new at fanfics they looked like fun and i love story telling/making so i decided to give it a whirl.

Feeling the blood leaking from my chest I felt weak I had no astera jerky and no potions and this beast wasn't going to allow me to leave.

I could feel my intestines where close to falling out I couldn't take another hit.

I had no choice I had to fight it just like Steve who fought off a Deviljho without any potions and his palico dead.

I stood up every step I took was more and more painful I just wanted to leave to a camp and get a potion and come back here later.

Then I saw it, a tall patch of grass so making my move I shot my last scatter nut into the dog-like creature's eye I watched as it howled in pain as I quickly ducked into said tall grass.

It was terrifying watching the Odogaron look around wildly for me obviously pissed that its eye had shatter nut still in it.

I found a pile of rocks next to me so picked a handful up careful not to drop any and launched one down the path a bit the Odogaron bounded after it and after a couple more well aimed shots it was gone.

I called to my wingdrake to take me to central camp but it wasn't flying down turning around I realized that the Odogaron had come back 'why the hell would It come back' I wondered to myself but I quickly was pinned on the ground with this 500-pound mutt crushing me.

Right then I began to think how i got here as this big growling bitch was about to crush my throat.

-Flashback-

I had just signed up to be a monster hunter my dad was proud of me (mostly because he was one of the best hunters back in his day) and my mom cried for hours about how a Rathalos was going slow cook me or something.

All that didn't matter now in front of me was basically monster hunter boot camp a place to mentally and physically prepare you to be a hunter.

If you wanted to be a handler you had to go to collage which to be honest I was a C student so I didn't stand a chance (you need a B average to become a handler an A average usually got all the really popular hunters).

I started walking down the long pathway when I saw most of the guys here were double my size.

They must have been on might and adamant seeds their entire lives I noticed I was the size of the average girl hunter which sucked I could already hear their mocking voices.

Too deep in my thoughts I bumped into some random guy making us both fall over he was obviously pissed at me "look where your going dumb-ass" he said before throwing me off him.

I was going to apologize but then I realized he had already left…jackass. Standing up I ran quickly to the front of the building.

A very nice older lady handed me a to do list so i started walking away while reading it. It was all simple stuff like register in the register line and pick out a weapon to start training with, get a palico, and go to my assigned barrack.

So I got into the registration line to the right of me and there was this huge girl hunter she must have been 7-foot 5 in front of me. Behind me was a shy littler person about 4-foot girl in front of me was named Bertha I found that out because she told her the lady behind the counter her name. I heard the lady say "I don't need your name just your weapon".

When I got my turn in line a sign said 'no talking unless i talk to you' in big bold letters. I saw the lady writing stuff down 5-foot 9, brown hair, and brown eyes a side note said "deviljho snack" which was a little unsettling to me. She blankly said "What is your training weapon" I thought for a second and I said "Gunlance?".

She quickly wrote that down then shooed me away not even asking for my name. As I walked away I heard the guy tell the girl behind him his name was Max. The next thing to do was to get a palico. I walked to the little palico station where you get to choose a willing palico to join you.

I looked around a bit and saw a small palico with grey fur. I walked up to it and it immediately jumped up and said "nice to meet you my names Dusty" he was obviously ready to go and he was looking at me with big round eyes.

I decided that he was too nice and adorable to say no. So, I said "Hi the names To..." I couldn't say anything else as that jerk from before pushed me over and then said "You cat your coming with me" pointing at Dusty.

Two things you should know about palico's number 1 they hate being called cats number 2 you can't just jump up and act like they are your property. So of course, Dusty got up and walked up to me and sat down that big asshole turned around and enlisted an obviously dumb palico because it got up and walked away with him little did i know he did that so big ugly would leave.

"So, what was your name again" Dusty said and I responded with "My name is Toby would you like to join me". Dusty responded with a paw thumb up? I don't know he did it but he did.

So I walked around a bit more talking to random hunter trainees till a that nice lady from the entrance handed me my barrack number. We lived in barracks so that we could get used to sharing a room on a boat.

I walked to my barrack honestly I probably was not ready for the next few weeks.

So, guy's what did you think I'll try to pump these out once every week or 2 I have a life you know anyhow leave a review so I can know what to do better. Just saying this my first fanfiction. Also, if you could leave me a girl handler OC that would be awesome :D. Last 2 things should I do lemons and if I should should they be monsterxmonster humanxmonster or humanxhuman, and this is more of a side note the monster hunter bootcamp is just for these first 2 or 3 chapters.
