Welcome to my newest story The Little Mermaids. This story is a more light hearted adaptation of the story of The Little Mermaid by Hans Christian Andersen. The main pairings of this fanfiction are Akane x Nao and Beauty x Gasser. This story also has some plot elements from the Disney movie released in 1989, only without Akane and Beauty getting their voices taken as well as some more plot elements from the 1984 theatrical live-action mermaid movie Splash.
I only own the story of this fanfiction. However, I don't own either the Pretty Cure franchise or Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo and I probably never will. they currently belongs to Shueisha, Kodansha, TV Asahi / Asahi Broadcasting Corporation and Toei Animation Co, Ltd.

Once upon a time...
Deep in the far reaches of the ocean, where no anchor can reach the bottom of the sea. There is an underwater kingdom filled with people who have fish tails instead of legs, Merpeople as they are usually called.
This undersea kingdom is also the home of the King and Queen with the last name Hino and their daughter, Princess Akane.
Unlike most of the other mermaids around her age, Akane was more enthusiastic about sports, mainly volleyball as she is really good at it and is the star player of the volleyball team. Akane may be a princess but she did have a trio of friends, that being Miyuki Hoshizora, Yayoi Kise and Reika Aoki.
Meanwhile, there was another princess in one of the neighboring kingdoms named Beauty, who ruled this kingdom alongside her brother Softon. She was also friends with another young mermaid named Suzu.
However, despite that both Akane and Beauty were two different girls that had everything, there was only one thing they had in common, and that was to see what the surface world was really like instead of what they heard.
It looks like they might have a chance to see what the world above the sea is really like as well as find true love in the process...

"Why did you suggest that we go to the Shipwreck Graveyard? You know that place is dangerous shark territory. Yayoi and Miyuki were almost eaten by one of those vicious sharks." Reika said as the four mermaids were at Akane's secret grotto.
"I know that, I just wanted to see if a mermaid could actually be able to outswim a shark. And besides, I lured that hammerhead into a wall and he fell into the abyss before he can chomp on them." Akane said as she layed down on the comforter. "At least we made it back to the kingdom in time so I can participate in the volleyball game before it started or else my team would have to forfeit." Akane said.
