Ha. I can sure describe it for you. Pain, misery, torment. It's oddly simplistic. Exactly the opposite of what you believe.
Feeling of affection and care
Which mean what, exactly? Ardor, attachment? Coldness, disgust, hatred and loathing are more like it. When does any of this really come into play?
Toward a person, such as that arising from kinship,
Kinship. I'm sure. Like we ever actually had time to build a relationship. As if we ever had the chance. Separated by more than houses and beliefs, I don't know why we even bothered. Shunned because of my love. Hated because of my choices. All because of him. Him. Him. Disowned by my parents, rejected by my "friends", I prayed desperately for him to love me back. Though we all know how that turned out. Here I am alone, because of his "love", while he has friends, and people who still care for him.

recognition of attractive qualities
Like eyes, perhaps? Those beautiful emeralds, dragging you in, drowning you in their indefinite depths. Lulled by these gems, he seduces you, to the point where there's no going back. No return. No hope in hell. Then it's over. He deserts you. Leaving his marks on your skin. His marks, on your soul.
