The Morning After
Aria's POV
My eyes fluttered open as I breathed in the familiar scent of my setting. I turned ever so slightly and caught my breathe at the man next to me, still sound asleep. I took a moment to absorb in his features, from his black ruffled hair and defined cheek bones to the slim body that rose gently up and down with each breathe in the white tank top he wore so well. A smile always grows unconsciously on my face when I realize that this man is mine and will forever be.
I looked around the cabin we had claimed as our own with Ezra's college buddy selling it to him after no longer needing it anymore. Although we had Ezra's apartment still, the cabin gave us a place to escape Rosewood and the rest of the world for a little and let us just be us. I let out a small laugh as I looked at the scattered clothes on the floor, memories of last night came back into my mind and the eagerness we both had, to be together after being forced to look at each other over a desk for five days. Now the weekend was ours.
Ezra let out a groan as he began to wake up. His eyes met mine and soon my smile became contagious.
"There will never be a day where I won't love waking up to you" he said while brushing a loose strand of my wavy brunette hair away from my face.
"Mmm" I replied back leaning into his hand. He was right, there will never be a day where this feeling will go away. "Can we just stay like this forever?" I asked as I delicately traced his jaw bone with my polished finger. Every other complication melted away and it was just us and our love in the world. This is what I had been yearning for all week.
Ezra laughed and his eyes told me he felt the same way. He leaned down to plant a small kiss on my lips. My hands moved up his face into his hair as I tangled it through my fingers, keeping his face on mine. We both were now wide awake with a single desire in both our minds. Ezra flipped us so he was on top and in control. I loved when his alpha male came forward. His little peck escalated to a continuation of last night. He growled through his throat as passion took over and I pulled him closer to me. Our bodies fit together once more as the two last pieces on a puzzle.
…
"Well that's one way to wake up" Ezra laughed as we remained still tangled in the bed sheets. I laughed with him, I was on cloud 9 for the first time in a while, these weekends away at the cabin always gave me a glow that couldn't be given by anyone other than Ezra.
I got out of bed after throwing on Ezra's crumbled shirt that was lying on the floor. Ezra looked me up and down as I stood before the foot of the bed, I could read his face of the confusion on why I had gotten up and see the satisfaction he always got when I wore his clothes. I made my way over to the kitchen, ignoring his pleading stares to go back in bed. We didn't have much food stocked in the cabinet but I managed to find pancake mix and chocolate chips. Perfect.
I had finished the first batch when strong arms grabbed me from behind, I jumped out of natural habit but Ezra caught me and brought me into his arms. He laughed at my fear and planted a kiss on my cheek.
"Smells good" he noted looking at the steaming pancakes resting on the plate. I turned around, still in Ezra's embrace. He kissed my nose and licked his lips while laughing. "What?" I asked, wondering the humor he found. "You had pancake mix on your nose, it tasted good" He answered.
With that I got an idea, I took a bit of the left over batter with my finger and lightly smeared it across my lips. "And now?" I asked innocently. He moaned catching on to my little game.
"Oh Aria" he replied before swiftly lifting me onto the counter top. And with that the pancakes were forgotten.
