"He can't be back!" With that Fudge stormed out of the hospital wing of Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry.
Dumbledore turned to Molly and asked "Molly can I count on you and your family for support?" She nods and left the hospital wing with her children Ronald and Ginny as well as Hermione Granger without a backwards glance at the scrawny bespectacled boy laying in the bed in front of the headmaster. He then turned to Snape and said "you know what you have to do." He nodded, spun and with billowing robes also left the room.
He then turned to the boy and the dog that were in the room. "Sirius can I count on you and Remus?"
The dog changed in to the boys godfather Sirius Black who spent a few moments contemplating what Dumbledore had asked and replied cautiously "I have to talk it over with Remus and Harry before I can give you an answer Albus, so long as they both agree I will as well but not before hand."
"So be it. But I must admit that I am disappointed to say Harry must return to his relatives for the summer." He held up his hand to stop the protests for the pair before continuing "it is the safest place for you young Harry, its your home and they love you. You know this don't you?"
Harry spoke for the first time since the minister had left. "With all due respect sir, that house is not my home, it had never BEEN my home and will NEVER BE my home. And as far as them " loving" me, well let's just say that if that is love I never want to see what their hate looks like. I don't think I would survive."
"You can't possibly mean that Harry they are your last remaining family." Said the concerned headmaster because he knew that without a doubt that the wards that he had placed around number 4 Privet Dr would have surely failed with Harry's declaration.
"But I do sir." Harry said without any hesitation. And with that Dumbledore turned and left the hospital wing without so much as a good bye.
"So Sirius do you have a way to rescue me when I get off the train in a few days yet?" Harry asked referring to the letter he had sent a week ago.
~FLASHBACK ~
Harry had just finished writing a letter to his godfather.
SnufflesI hope this letter finds you in good health. I have missed you this past few months.Snuffles I need your help. I can't go back to the Dursleys I'm afraid for my life if I have to go back there this year. They have been getting worse each year, they backed off last year when I told them that you were my godfather, because you had been on the news the year before, but just before they brought me to headquarters last summer my uncle promised that if I ever crossed their doorstep again they would kill me.If you could find a way to rescue me that would be great. Just don't tell Dumbledore. Lately he has been treating me like I am destined to die so what happens to me is unimportant.I wait to hear from you. If I haven't heard from you before the end of the year I will look for you on the platform.Love fromPup.
~FLASHBACK END~
Harry looked at Sirius with hope radiating from his face.
"Well Pup for this to work I'm going to need your cloak."
"Whatever you need I'll send it with Hedwig in the morning, anything else?" Asked Harry.
"Well this is what is going to happen..."
Harry was impressed with his plan. He said goodbye to Sirius who turned back into Padfoot just before madame Pomfrey the schools healer came around the screen. "Mr. Potter what is that animal doing in the hospital? You need to be resting!"
"Can he stay please? He gives me comfort helps me sleep." Harry looked at her with pleading eyes.
"Just tonight Harry, he really shouldn't be here but you have been through enough today. If you get enough rest tonight and your arms stop shaking you will be able to leave in the morning so you can spend some time with your friends before the end of year." With that she gave him a dose of dreamless sleep potion and a pain potion and went back to her office.
Sirius jumped up on the bed and licked Harry's hand before the potions sent him into a peaceful sleep. Sirius spent a while just watching over his godson protecting him as he should have been able to for his entire life.
The next few days went about as Harry expected, people avoided him because they believed that he killed Cedric. Hus friends left him on his own as they had exams and didn't have time for him. He didn't mind as this gave him time to prepare for the journey home. He got his backpack and packed the essentials he shrunk his broomstick and placed it in the side pocket. He packed his clothes and his photo album of his parents and a muggle baseball hat in the main pocket. He also packed his trunk with everything else shrunk Hedwig's cage and placed it in his trunk. He had sent her with Sirius when he left the day after the third task so she was safe and out of the way.
Once he got on the train he found a compartment and stowed his trunk, shrunk his backpack and waited for the signal.
About an hour into the journey the door on their compartment opened on its own. Harry waited for 2 minutes as required then told the others he was going to the loo and that he would be back in a few.
After making sure the room was empty he whistled. At the sound of his whistle Sirius took off the invisibility cloak and grinned at Harry. "Everything go to plan so far? Have you got everything you can't live without?"
Harry smiled "Yep all here in my bag."
"Hold on tight and we will be at Gringotts before you can say wow"
Harry was about to ask how he was going to do that when he suddenly felt like he was being forced through a rube that was about half his size. It felt uncomfortable to say the least. When the feeling stopped he bent over trying to keep his breakfast in his stomach while Sirius laughed. "WHAT IN THE NAME OF MERLIN'S SAGGY BALLS WAS THAT?!"
"That Harry was your first sidelong Apparition. Fun right?"
"I wish for once I could find a fast magical travel that agreed with me." Harry said with a queasy look. "But let's get into Gringotts before someone realizes that I'm missing. We are safe here right?"
"Yep as safe as we can be to draw your wand in Gringotts is a death sentence and it would take a fair amount of magic to get them to give us up."
"So what are we waiting for?" Harry walked up to the first goblin that he saw "Good morning sir, I need to speak to the Potter account manager if they have time please."
The goblin stared at him in shock for a few seconds before closing his counter and motioning for them to follow him.
They were lead through an endless amount of hallways until they came to a large door with the name "Riptooth" on it. The goblin knocked on the door and spoke in a language that Harry didn't recognized. Then turned and motioned for them to enter.
"Mr. Potter I would like to know why you haven't responded to the yearly invitation to come and review your accounts with us. They have been sent out on your birthday every year since you turned 11."
"Master Riptooth,I'm sorry but I have never received any letters from Gringotts." Harry said with an apologetic look.
"We have much to talk about then Mr. Potter, we best get started. Prick your finger on this stone and it will take a sample of your blood to identify you by."
Harry did as he was asked and watched as the results magically transferred to a piece of parchment.
"HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?" Harry shouted.
