Ugh I am so mad at my mom right now. I was in the middle of writing this because I had a wonderful idea that I wanted to share with you peoples. But she made me turn it off so then I turned it off and then she left and I turned it back on. If you are wondering why I am disobeying please refer to sentence one. UGH!
btw, did I mention that I am NOT Jenny Nimmo, and do not own Maisie or Charlie.
Wish I did though...
AHA! Inspiration strikes I will write a Charlie Bone story and make up more characters that can be mine! Cackles evilly while lightning strikes in the background
Aren't I smart?
Charlie sat seated at the kitchen table. Lap top poised in front of him while his eyes scanned the page, his fingers moving furiously along the keyboard. Grandma Bone was out for the weekend and so he was free to do as he liked. He leaned back and re-read what he had written. He smiled, pleased.
Maisie hummed off-tune while whirling around the kitchen, wooden spoon in hand, dripping with spaghetti sauce. "Now what are you doing Charlie? Some new electronic game?" she asked hovering over his shoulder.
He twisted in his seat to look at her. "No new game. I got an okay grade for my English essay, Emma suggested this website so that I could 'practice,'" Charlie made air-quotes with his fingers. "Anyway, its a whole lot more fun than I expected."
Maisie stared at the computer screen covered with words for a moment before waving the wooden spoon over his head. "God bless Emma Tolly! When I grow young, I want to be like her!" she declared. "I knew she would get you some day!"
Charlie turned back in his seat and gave her a sideways stare. "When you grow young?" he repeated.
But, Maisie didn't hear him, she had already gone back to her humming and cooking...
With a perplexed shrug Charlie turned back towards the screen with a devious smile he scrolled up and typed in Midnight For Charlie Bone. He nodded in approval of himself. "Good old ." he sighed, then leaned back in his rickety wooden chair and thought for a moment. "Maisie, If I were a girl and you got to name me, what would you name me?" he asked carefully.
Maisie turned, this time a spatula in her hand. She gave a hard stare for a moment. "Jenny." she said decidedly. "I've always liked the name Jenny. Why?"
Charlie nodded, "Just curious, I suppose." he turned back to the lap-top. He hit the 'enter' bar and typed in his new pen-name; Jenny Nimmo. He scrolled down and hit the 'Save Changes' button and clicked off the Internet.
Here's the deal, If you liked it tell me. And tell my why
If you didn't tell me. Tell me why, but nicely.
If you want more, tell me what.
: ) Simple enough.
