Daylight. That must've been it. The reason he'd woken up was daylight. He turned around in bed to face the stunning woman lying next to him. His wife. 'That's right, I'm married now' he thought. Married. Marriage. Two years ago he wouldn't even have dreamed about ever being in a relationship, let alone making serious commitments to someone. But with Nymphadora everything was possible.
She stirred and Remus, leaning over, softly brushed his lips against her temple. That must have woken her up. She smirked, eyes still closed.
"You know, I could get used to this, waking up next to my husband, getting kisses for breakfast" she said. Lupin smiled in return and pulled her closer to him, hugging her tightly. "As luck would have it, we can do that every day from now on" he replied. Running his hands through her long, wavy hair, that had a ligh shade of purple today, he lowered his head to hers and their lips met again.
"Oh really?" Nymphadora said, breaking the kiss, "I knew there was a reason for marrying you." "Oh yeah, there are tons of reasons"
"Such as?" "Carrying my last name, having the honour of me calling you Nymphadora again, having me around for all sorts of boring family events. Shall I go on?" "I get the picture" she said seriously. "And, you know, the very best thing is that I now have somebody to perfom all sorts of household spells for me." They looked at each other for a second before they both burst into laughter. 'That's my little Nymph' he thought, and for another day she made him forget about the war, his little wolf-problem and everythign else. She was the one thing that counted. Their love was something eternal, he felt it. From now until forever, they would be united. The nymph and the werewolf, happy together.
