It was a fine day in Clover town, the streets abandoned excepted for a few children chasing each other to and through in a beautiful game of tag, their laughter filled the empty air. There were a few adults going along doing their daily errands in a state of transit. However there was one resident of Clover Town who stood out against them all.
Her straight strawberry blonde ( As many likes to call it but she preferred ginger or ginger) hair cascaded down her back as she walked along the stoned street with a cheeky yet happy hop in her step. Her ocean blue eyes fixed on a book that was held delicately in her hand as her head turned to look down the shallow alleyway that littered the streets. It was true she lived here and had done for her entire life but her mother had sheltered her from the world outside, but she was seventeen now and she wanted to see the world for herself, to experience the intelligent life outside her home and outside Clover town. She didn't know what to expect to find or see but she was excited none the less. In this instant she was looking for the town's book store to collect some useful books she would need for her journey away.
This girls name was Elizabeth River, the daughter of the well known author who had created books on fantasy adventures but Elizabeth didn't want to be known for that, she wanted to make it on her own.
She made her way down the path until she reached the small book store and as she entered the small bell rang a sweet note to announce that someone had entered the establishment. She closed the book that was balancing in her hand and put it away before turning down one of the many isles the shop had, each one overflowing with shelves holding far to many books luckily she knew what books she needed. As Elizabeth walked down the isle she ran her fingers over the books and took a deep breath to take in that book smell she loved dearly. Once she got to the Earth magic section she popped off a few books that would help her research and study her magic while she was traveling to another town. It took her a good five minutes to decided which books she wanted and which she would better of leaving for now.
She turned the corner into another section and picked up another book but this one on the guilds that where active that year as she thought this would be useful in finding and deciding what or if any of the guilds were suitable for her and her magic level.
She took a slow walk up to the desk to pay for her books, taking time to scan her eyes over the books that she pasted. As she reached the desk she placed down her chosen books on the counter and brought out her jewels to pay for the books. It was a event-less operation and she exited the book store. She was ready for her journey and more excited than ever to start. She took a few steps out of the store before looking both way and deciding it was best to head out of town now rather than later. As she was walking she felt strange, like someone or something was following her.
Elizabeth sped up her walking slightly only to have the feel come crashing into her harder than before. It didn't take long for her to stop and call out into the empty air.
"Is someone there?" she asked before she realized that it must of been the wind or her silly imagination as she set off again. However it wasn't too long before a tall, slender man had come out of the shadows and brutely took her from the comfort of the open hair and pushed her into the world of darkness with one easy hit to the head.
