The day we got married was the happiest day of my existence. Alice made me wear a dress that looked like a cupcake and I didn't know half the people there, but we were getting married. Nothing could ruin this day for me. I felt so unworthy of Edward. He was so perfect, so beautiful. I couldn't believe that he chose me. Out of all people, me.
The wedding night was what I was looking forward to the most. That was the night that he'd finally change me. Forever, with him. It sounded almost too good to be true.
Later I would find out that it was.
The first 10 years were the hardest. Learning how to abstain from humans was probably the hardest thing that I've ever done. But I did it for him. It was all for him.
I gave that man everything. My heart, my life, my existence. And what did he give me in return? Nothing. Not a damn thing.
But I'm getting ahead of myself. Hello, my name is Bella Cullen. And my life isn't what I thought it was.
