Monday:
He stole a short glance at her, and he could see her dark hair blowing from the slight breeze the fan in the training room gave. Her blue eyes were fixed on Mako and Asami, with a longing look to be with the calm and collected firebender.
If only she knew, Bolin thought. If only she knew how much I loved her, maybe she'd love me back.
Tuesday:
Bolin was looking down at the tile flooring of the restaurant as he was waiting for the fun-loving water bender that plagued his mind. He had asked her to come to Narooks, just so she could get her mind off of everything: Tarrlok, pro-bending, Amon. Even after she had beaten her two worst enemies and won the pro-bending championship, she couldn't help but still be paranoid about it all.
He saw her come in with her flowing ponytails in her usual garb. Even so, he couldn't help but think about how beautiful she looked. Every time he saw her, she just got even more dazzling.
"Hey!" she said to him. "Looks like someone's ready for some noodles!"
"Yeah, definitely" he said with a smile, but he wanted to add But I'm more ready for you.
Wednesday:
The Fire Ferrets were playing their first match of the season, and they were geared up and ready. Mako was with Asami, and surprisingly Korra wasn't mad at all.
The match was a breeze, and Bolin just waved to the crowd and brushed it off his shoulder. As they returned to the locker room, the waterbender seemed much more upbeat than usual.
"Well someone's in a good mood!" he proclaimed at her, sending one of his signature charming glances at her.
"Yeah." she responded, with a tone of relief. "It took me a while, but I got over something I just couldn't shake before.
Bolin assumed it was Mako and Asami, and he was positive he was right.
Her blue eyes turned to look towards him. "So Bo, you want to go to Narooks tomorrow night? I think we could have a great time."
His grass green eyes lit up. "Why not."
Thursday:
Bolin was getting dressed after a long shower, in anticipation of his date with the waterbender. He couldn't help but think of the way she asked him. She called me Bo! he thought ever so excitedly. She had never called him that before. He wasn't sure if it was a gift or a curse.
They both arrived at the restaurant at the same time, meeting eachother outside of the door… 20 minutes early.
"I guess we're both eager beavers!" she explained, blue eyes shining at him.
They sat down and ordered as much as they could afford, and he took a moment just to glance at her. She was so gorgeous. Her hair was fixed into a bun and she was wearing a dress for the first time in years. Is that makeup I detect? Bolin asked to himself.
He must have been staring for much too long, because she took notice.
"Why are you staring at me?"
"Oh, I.. I didn't mean… to… umm…"
She laughed at him wholeheartedly. "It's ok Bo. I don't mind.
Friday:
It was 1 am and the two of them were still on their date. He made her laugh, she made him smile. They were in front of the fountain in the park and Bolin turned to look at her.
If I don't say something now… he though to himself.
It was decided.
"You look so beautiful," he said, almost breathless.
"So do you," she said, almost jokingly.
"I'm not kidding." He gave her a cutely serious look, and she gave it right back.
"Neither am I."
He looks at her for a while, and can't believe what he's about to do.
"Close your eyes, I have a present for you," he said, without the slightest tremer in his voice. He was ready for this.
He leaned in, and gave her the softest kiss on the lips.
She opened her eyes for a flash, then pulled him in again, kissing him with more passion this time.
"Bo, I…" She stumbles over her words.
"I know," he says, before kissing her again.
He pulls away, breathless, and looks at her blue eyes.
This was meant to be.
