Sonic the Hedgehog in: Sonic 1!
Sonic the Hedgehog was a blue, supersonic hedgehog who could run at incredible speeds. He had long, sharp spines that travelled from his head down to his back, a peach muzzle and fluorescent emerald eyes. His attire generally consisted of a pair of white gloves, socks, and a pair of red hi-tops with white straps and golden buckles.
Not the first thing you'd expect to save the day, but whatever.
Sonic was running through South Island's Green Hill Zone when he noticed something very strange.
Hmm... there's nobody here in this zone... odd, Sonic thought to himself. Having not been looking where he was going, Sonic crashed into a ladybug-shaped robot, causing his rings to fly out and scatter around him.
"Hey, watch where you're going, pa- wait," Sonic stopped talking. This thing was a robot. It took the form of a ladybug, with metallic fangs and claws, wheels, and a booster. It's shiny metal surface glistened in the sunlight.
The Motobug charged into Sonic with hostile intention. Sonic jumped over it and span into it from behind. Having destroyed the robot, Sonic looked at the empty, metal shell to find one of his animal friends inside.

grinned as he looked over his newest invention. he had hooked up his Egg-o-Matic to a large, chequered wrecking ball. Dr Eggman was a large, yet athletic scientist with the intent of using the power of the mythical Chaos Emeralds to take over South Island. He wore a Red Jacket with White stipes and golden buckles, and black, rubber legwear with boots. He also wore a pair of blue sunglasses and some head goggles.
"I will take over the island using the Chaos Emeralds, and build a glorious empire! The Empire of Eggman!"
