Hello, my children...
It is me, your creator, Ragnos. Though my real name might be unknown, my title might bring recognition to you. I am Lord of chaos, creation and the universe. Father to Gaia and Ouranos, the earth and sky. The stories of old tell of me being only a void. Those stories are lies, created to mask my very existence.
It was my idea to do so, and the Gods obliged. My oath I pledge to every ruling deity. I pledged to my Daughter, Gaia, I pledged to Kronos, and once Kronos was defeated, I pledged to Zeus. The most sacred Oath to be pledged throughout history, restricting my rule over the creatures I created, and erasing all suspicion about me in the heads of other Immortals.
I am not to have Mortal Followers, no Demigod or Godly Descendants, further weakening me, however, that isn't a problem. As the Ruler above all, my power remains unchallenged, and even the Gods fear me, though they do not show it.
However, things have changed during the millennia I have watched over life itself. A change I felt before Prometheus gave Fire to Humans.
A Change that required me to break my Oath.
Thousands of years passed since then, and over the last Century and a Half, what I saw in the Future has come to fruition. The Demigods of the Prophecy, the Nine, have managed to defeat a Primordial God, no small task either. My Daughter Gaia is now in endless sleep, her body fully destroyed.
Everything has a Consequence.
While the Demigods rejoiced at their Victory, they awoke an Enemy even worse than Gaia. He thirsted for revenge, but it takes time to gain full power, no matter how powerful you were, to begin with.
Those demigods have long since passed, only memories remain of them, along with the Heroic Actions they did. The God Apollo has disappeared, along with the power of prophecy, leaving many Generations of Demigods without a Great Prophecy. There is Peace for now, but nothing can last forever.
Which is why breaking the Oath a second time was necessary.
A War is on the Horizon now, and the World will never be the same again, for both Mortals and Demigods.
War hurts everyone.
