E/O Double Drabble Challenge WoW : Flag and Bill
Two part submission. Each part 100 words.
I NEED YOU
Captured, tortured and in pain, but Sam will still do
what he can when Dean asks for his help.
"Sam? Sam…wake up. I need you."
Sam moaned, slowly regaining consciousness, once again feeling lightning spurs of pain wracking his torso. His body arched, responding to the agony of the numerous wounds caused by his flagellation.
"Sam. I need help."
Amid the pain, relief at the familiar voice, "D…ean?"
"Finally! Ok, you ready?"
Sam turned, seeing Dean sat nearby, legs crossed casually, holding a newspaper. Sam whimpered, "Please…Please…..Untie me."
"Sure. Just help me out first."
"Wha…How?"
"Three words, eighteen letters total. The only mammal that lays eggs."
Sam felt himself flagging, slipping away again as he whispered, "Duck Billed Platypus…."
"Sam? Sam…..I need you to wake up."
Eyes fluttering open, Sam looked up into Dean's worried face. Sam sighed, "Duck Billed Platypus."
Flinching at the pain it caused Sam, Dean gently guided his brother up off the table, "Come on weirdo, easy does it."
"Did….did I get it right?"
Puzzled, Dean nodded, "Sure Sammy. You did good."
"I can go home now?"
"Yeah. The fuglies are all dead. I'm taking you home."
Sam smiled softly through his pain, "Yeah…Duck Billed Platypus."
Dean shook his head in confusion, "Er…..sure Sammy. Old Ducky Bill's waiting for us back at the car. "
