Chapter One – If Only.
Klaus slumped back onto the couch of his library and sighed in relief.
Finally, all his enemies in New Orleans had been eliminated. The witches and the wolves were his allies, and the vampires were his army.
He had finally become the king of New Orleans, and made the place a safe one for his child.
"Klaus!" Davina said worriedly as she entered the library, shaking Klaus out of his thoughts.
"What is it, little witch?" He asked, reading the worried expression on her face.
"You must come with me, please get Elijah and Hayley," Davina said, and Klaus nodded.
She walked into a room where no one could hear her, and started preparing her spell.
The spirits had told her something was wrong with Sabine/Celeste's predictions.
She was worried if the spell was to cause Hayley harm, so she had to conduct a spell.
Hayley, Klaus, and Elijah hurriedly entered the room.
Elijah placed a small table in front of the little witch, as she summoned Klaus and Hayley.
"Klaus, Hayley, I need your blood," Davina informed, as Hayley and Klaus both slit their wrist and poured the blood on the table.
She did the incantation and the three waited patiently at the side, trying to figure out what the little witch was doing.
The two drops of blood slowly split into two puddles of blood each.
The blood then trailed to mix into one. Just when Davina thought it was over, the flames of the candles that she had lit earlier started to go wild.
The flame was growing bigger, when suddenly the mixed pool of blood slowly split into two, and it trailed to make a square.
Davina opened her eyes, and the flame immediately died.
"Oh my gosh," She said, covering her mouth with her hands.
She did not know whether she should be happy or sad.
"What is it, Davina?" Elijah asked, worriedly.
"No this can't be right," Davina said.
She looked toward Klaus and Hayley who were standing together.
When she looked at them, she immediately got a vision.
It was of two babies crying loudly, and after that it was blurry.
Davina snapped back to reality, but was too shocked to say anything.
"Davina, what is wrong?" Elijah said as she started sobbing.
"Listen closely," Davina said quietly, after wiping her tears.
Elijah and Klaus listened very closely, and froze when they heard a fourth heartbeat in the room.
It was weak, but they could definitely hear it.
"What the bloody hell," Klaus said, astonished.
Davina nodded and smiled at Hayley in tears.
"What is it, Davina?" Hayley asked.
"Congratulations Hayley, You and Klaus are having twins!" Davina smiled and went up to hug a shocked Hayley.
"Twins?" She said, startled, as tears started to fall.
"Oh my gosh we're having twins," She smiled tearily at Klaus as he enveloped her in a hug.
Klaus smiled.
He was having twins.
He could not believe it.
He hugged Hayley tighter, as she chuckled at him.
"We're having twins, Klaus. Twins," She said, repeating the words, happily.
Twins. She repeated happily in her mind. She was having twins with the man she was slowly caring for.
Twins. Two children. He thought. The girl who he was slowly falling for was about to bring not one but two children of his into this world.
I couldn't be happier. If only he/she knew. The two thought.
If only, he/she felt the same way back. The two said simultaneously in their heads.
