The Unfortunate Butter Dish

Mr and Mrs Potter shared identical grins as the adorable blue haired seven year old ran towards them with his arms open wide. Harry gathered his godson into his arms while greeting Andromeda Tonks. It was Christmas day and they were all going to the Burrow for Christmas lunch. Teddy really liked the Burrow because it was always so loud and fun and because he was spoiled shamelessly by everyone while he was there.

When they arrived, the joyful greetings were suddenly interrupted by a sudden loud crash from upstairs. The crash was followed by loud bumps which seem to proceed down the stairs. The entire Weasly family watched with bated breath as a wild silver and pink creature came tumbling to the bottom of the stir case followed by an extremely flustered Fleur. Upon better examination the wild creature turned out to be none other than little Vicky Weasly. It so happened that in a fit of excitement at hearing the arrival of Teddy little Vicky fell out of her bed while her mother tried to groom her and had proceed to bounce down the stairs, coincidently displaying the first sign of her magical abilities. Vicky immediately straitened herself up stared adoringly at Teddy without saying a word.

This earned a chuckle from a majority of the room, while Ron who was always a bit slow on uptake said, "I wonder what the matter with her is? She wouldn't stop talking about him all week!" followed by a chorus of "Oh Ron!" from a majority of the room.

Presents were given and received and there was a great deal of merrymaking. At lunch Teddy was a little discomfited to discover that a certain silver haired five and a half year old in Pink taffeta has managed to secure a seat near him. Ten minutes into lunch Bill decided he wanted some butter for his bun as asked for the butter dish. But to everyone's amusement they discovered that the butter dish was already occupied with the elbow of a somewhat smitten Vicky who was staring at Teddy without noticing that she had her elbow deep in butter. Overcome with humour and an odd sense of deja vu Ginny burst out laughing while Harry trying to keep a straight face patted the bemused boy on the shoulder saying, "You have no idea what you're in for mate."
