Missandei wasn't quite herself recently. Since Grey Worm saw her naked by the river and talked to her. How he was pleased to see her. And how she was pleased as well. He could never make love to her, that far she understood, but he can still love her. He can still kiss her-

»Missandei!« Dany screamed. The girl seemed to pull her hair a bit too strong.

»Apologies, Your Grace,« she mumbled and continued with more attention. Khaleesi stopped her.

»Missandei.« She looked her straight to her eyes. »What's wrong? You've been in distress, I feel. Tell me.« The girl hasitated. »That's an order.«

»This one has been thinking too much for her own good. It will never happen again.« Dany smiled.

»What has been occupying your thoughts so much?« Missandei looked to her feet and blushed. »Or is it a who?« Dany asked playfully.

»It's...it's Grey Worm, Your Grace.« Dany's smile widened. »He has been most attentive and...this one likes it.« Daenerys let out a short laugh. She remembered her own love to a man. He was tall and strong and brave...Her knight. Her knight from home she never knew.

»Have you told Grey Worm of your feelings?«

»This one told Grey Worm she's happy when he is friendly to her.« Dany let out a sight of comformation and went quiet again. If the girl wants to talk to her, she knows she's always welcome.

The thought of Jorah comforting her when Khal Drogo died, when she was told she would never bear a living child, when her dragons were gone in Quarth. He was always there for her, his strong hands holding her when she needed him most.

She dismissed Missandei who immediately removed herself from the room. She met Jorah in the hallway. Or better put, she bumped into him, very literally.

»Ser. I apologize.« He smiled.

»No need. I should've been more careful.« He noticed her absent face, staring into nowhere. »Missandei?« She lifted up her face, a tear leaving her eyes. Jorah cupped her cheek gently, brushing his thumb over her soft skin near her mouth. He leaned his head to one side, smiling. It was an encouraging smile that made her stop the flow of tears flooding her face.

»This one loves a man who will never return his love.« She swallowed. Jorah had never seen her showing emotions. She was just another maid to his Khaleesi. But Missandei was different. She was still a child. A child that never had its childhood. That never played freely with its peers. That never had a family.

»Is it Grey Worm you are talking about, child?« She nodded. It was all she could do, or else the tears would appear again. He put his hands around her shoulders and pressed her gently to him. He felt the warmth of her tears pouring down on his shirt, her sobbing silenced by the remained control in her mind.

A shoulder to cry on means more than thousand words.

They parted soon. Her eyes were red and sad, her face wet.

»Missandei.« He stopped her as she was trying to leave. »Perhaps he does want to love you. He may not be able to do it fully but he can still show you how much you mean to him.« Jorah held her hand. »He wanted me to teach him the word »precious«.«

Missandei couldn't move. Was she precious to her brave soldier?

»She loves you.« Jorah's face got serious all of a sudden. The smile left his face.

»Who are you talking about?« Missandei thought for a moment. It may not be the right time...

»Her Grace, ser.« She stroked his knuckles with her free arm.

»Daenerys Stormborn loves you, Ser Jorah. She always did.«
