A/N: I won't write more unless I see that my story is liked. So, read and review! I love criticism, so don't try to sweeten it up! Of course, nice reviews are always great to read, too. In short, tell me what you think.

DISCLAIMER: I do not own Redwall! The characters are mine – That is it. No, this Bryony isn't the same as the Bryony in The Outcast of Redwall. They just have the same name.

Prologue

Abbey School

It was noon, in the Orchard at Redwall Abbey. There was an Abbey School class going on, taught by the Mother Abbess Rosemary. The young mouse smiled at her pupils. "Well, we have a little while to spare before lunch. Perhaps we'll work more on history?" She asked, smiling at the groans of the young creatures. "We wanna story!" A young mouse called Glirid said loudly, his lower lip poking out as he looked at the Abbess with wide eyes. The Abbess fought with herself internally. Well, they have been good today, and maybe it could be a historical one. They like those, right? She thought, still musing over the idea. Finally, she let out a sigh. "Oh, alright! You may have a story." She said, just as a twenty three seasons old squirrel called Bryony walked by. "They want a story?" She inquired, a smile playing across her lips. The mouse Abbess nodded. "Well, I know just the tale!" She announced. "Mother Abbess, do I have permission to tell these young'uns their story?"
She grandly asked as the young creatures watched with bated breath. They wanted Bryony to tell them a story, not the Abbess! While Mother Rosemary was nice, and all, when she told stories in Abbey School they weren't fun, nice, stories. They were just historical ones, with no jokes, or really good, waiting-with-baited-breath parts. Rosemary deliberated for a minute. "Oh, I suppose so." She said wearily. "Yaay!" The pupils cried, a few even throwing their schoolbooks into the air happily. "Alright, Mother Abbess; thank you. Is there anything I should keep in mind for their story?" The squirrel said politely, with a smile. The mouse shook her head. "Just be done before lunchtime." She said, before turning to walk to the Abbey. "Thank you Mother Abbess for teaching us today; we learned a lot." The young ones chanted dutifully, before turning with eager eyes to Bryony, who was sitting down criss-cross-applesauce on the bench the teachers were supposed to sit on. Few did; they preferred to stand, strangely enough, while the students sat on the ground. The Abbess heard Bryony say, "Now, class, I want to tell you the tale of two squirrels, Bryony and Bryant. This is a true tale, so listen closely. . ."

A/n: Well? Yes? Or no? Well, read, and review if you want more!
