The next morning, I woke up at the sound of knocking. The knocking didn't come from my door but from behind the mirror. I slowly creeped out of bed and moving the mirror aside, I found a mysterious door. I slowly pushed the door open and the creaking noise of the door echoed. I walked inside and found myself inside tunnels, I wandered around the exploring and found another room. Inside the room was a sword, a beautiful magnificent sword. I've never seen such a beautiful sword before, it took my breath away. Just then, I heard growls, deep, angry growls. Quickly, I took the sword and fled back into my room. Closing the room shut I putted the mirror back in place. I laid out the sword on my bed and examined it. It seems so familiar, as if I've seen it somewhere. Then, I remembered, I've seen a picture of this sword in one of the books I've read. If I remembered correctly, the sword originally belongs to a famous demon hunter five thousand years ago. However, when he died, the sword disappeared with him and the demon king has been looking for this sword for centuries. I can't believe what luck I have to find it within the secret passage of my own room. Another set of knocking was heard and this time it was from my door, I quickly hid the sword under my bed. It was Dorian, he's come to check up on my again and brought my breakfast with him.
"Good morning Celaena," Dorian said with a dashing smile.
I couldn't help but smile myself as well. For the moment, I forgot about the secret tunnel, the sword, and about Ryan's death. I simply allowed myself to drown into his smile.
"Good morning Dorian," I replied.
"How're you feeling?" he asked.
"Just tired, hardly slept after all that's happened."
"Hmmm I can tell, why don't you go wash up and enjoy some breakfast?"
I went to the bathroom and looked at myself in the mirror. Oh my lady gaga I looked terrible! Not only did my dark circles made me looked like a panda but my hair was a complete bird nest. I took a quick shower and head out for breakfast.
"Sorry for the wait," I said.
"Nah, it's alright. Today's the big day, the last competition to determine the King's Champion," Dorian said.
"Yeah, this day has finally arrived."
