"Do you have to go Papa?" Kalani asked her father.
"I'm afraid I do, sweetheart." Rumple replied. "But don't worry, your mother will look after you." He looked up at Belle, who forced a smile while crying.
"Just promise you'll come home?" Kalani said.
"I promise. I'll never forget about you." Rumple promised.
"Good." Kalani smiled.
Rumple hugged his daughter. "Don't grow up while I'm gone, okay?" He whispered.
"I won't." Kalani whispered back. She was only five, and all she's ever known is family. Her father meant so much to her.
Belle walked up to the two. "I'll make sure she doesn't." She smiled.
Rumple stood up. "You better." He joked.
The couple then shared a kiss. A moment later, the bells to his shop rang. It was Regina.
"Regina?" Rumple questioned. "What are you doing here?"
"I had to say goodbye to Kalani!" Regina winked.
Kalani smiled at the sight of Regina. "Auntie Gina!" She ran up to Regina who picked her up and hugged her.
"Hey K!" Regina smiled.
"You're going too?" Kalani asked, disappointed.
Regina nodded. "Unfortunately, I am. But I promise I'll tell about all the cool stuff I saw when I get back, okay?"
Kalani smiled happily. "Okay!"
Rumple and Belle smiled at each other.
"Alright, that's it! Break it up lovebirds!" Kalani giggled.
"Hey, it's not my fault your mother is so pretty." Rumple said.
"Yeah, that's her mommy's fault!" Kalani replied.
"Okay, you. Why don't you go get your pjs on?" Belle ordered.
"Only if Papa and Auntie Gina help tuck me in." Kalani bargained.
Belle glanced at the other adults in the room.
Regina sighed. "Alright, we'll tuck you in. But only if you'll be good for your mommy."
"I will! I promise!" Kalani ran into the back room where her family lived to change into her pajamas.
"You two have no idea how much that little girl will miss you." Belle pointed out.
"I don't think anyone does." Rumple replied.
